Fan Rant: Apparently Not Even Eddie Murphy Can Sit Through 'Meet Dave' {Cinematical}
Jul 10th 2008 12:34PM While I know the purpose of the Fan Rant is to rage against something for comedic and entertainment effect. However, I really don't think that its a big deal Eddie missed. Perhaps he had a family emergency. Perhaps he came down with the measles. Perhaps he has developed stage fright. Maybe the studio screwed him over on his contract. Or maybe he just wants to hang with a Thai hooker and snort some coke.
At this point premieres aren't that big a deal - especially since this will be Eddie's 200th career premiere (insert hyperbole)

May 1st 2008 11:28AM I LOVED Mega Man Soccer. Just such a bizarre game with plenty of variety (for the time). I'd be excited to revisit it on XBLA or VC...
Reminder: Xbox Live is down today {Xbox 360 Fanboy}
Apr 21st 2008 11:28AM The only issue I have now is that I can't play a bunch of my XBLA games. Its pretty lame that you can "buy" games but cannot play them unless you are connected to Live.

Tabulator: Xbox Live Video Marketplace vs. Apple TV {Joystiq}
Jan 16th 2008 9:29PM Don't you think it might be a bit premature to compare the two specs without a working unit in front of you?
How about saying that videos by March are going to be higher than XBOX's current catalog. That is a not actually a fact at this time. Where is apple today?
Also, the rental catalog isn't specifically SD or HD. Apple may have 10,000 movies but if only 30 of them are in HD, how can you compare the two services?
finally, from reading your sister site engadget, the 5.1 surround sound deal is not universal for all movies:
"Better yet, it's hitting back with the Apple TV, take 2 (same box, new firmware), which enables users to rent movies directly on their HDTVs in high-definition with full 5.1-channel Dolby surround sound (but only on "select" films)".
Really you are comparing apples to oranges. This is not iPod v. Zune, which would make a lot more sense. Hell, TiVo v. AppleTV might make more sense.

Jan 15th 2008 12:48PM Movies should NOT be watched on iPods. Podcasts, TV shows, and videos designed for small screens is just fine. But taking art designed for the big screen and shrinking it to 1/2 of an inch is unacceptable and blasphemous.

Jan 9th 2008 2:05PM What would I like from a Gold Membership? Perhaps a specially priced XBLA game each month. A free movie rental every month or every three months. A special group of gamerpics that only gold members can get.
Will the Hollywood Strike Kill Comic-Con? {Cinematical}
Jan 9th 2008 1:34PM Hmmm if they have no TV and no film I guess they'll just have to discuss... comics?!
