Only the most recent update of the facebook app has been somewhat usable... every other version has been buggy, crash-prone and generally frustrating to use.

Too bad we couldn't have gotten a better programmer sooner.

That aside, I do feel for the good app programmers that are frustrated... but only the good ones, not Joey Joe Joe Jr. Shabadou (Hewitt).
Workaround did not work. Catagories still showing Skype.
3Gs 3.1
I would like to use this as a safari and email screen for my home media system.
I don't know, I have a Rogers account and didn't have to change the baseband.
Jailbroken 3GS, updated to 3.01, purplera1n not working... fyi
same case as my two year old Precision 690... they are larger than they look in the pictures
Please stop making the good jc's look like douchbags.
"The shuffle is available in white and gray..." Black and Silver, you mean.

I almost bought this right away for the car, until I realized I would have no way to play songs or control it whatsoever. I love the size and concept of voice over... but why are we forced to use their headset as the only way to listen to music from this iPod?
Dude, two things... first, never take advice from posters on engadget unless you want angry and uneducated kids telling you useless advice.

second, when you are ready to buy a computer, get what you need at the best price and accept the fact that there will be better models available shortly. Don't expect your computer to always be the best in the world... you are setting yourself up for disappointment. Appreciate what you have, dog.

To posters above... I don't know what kind of eyes you have, but 1920x1200 on a screen smaller than 17" is unreadable at more than a foot away.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a 12- or 13-inch ultraportable that can also play modern games at a reasonable level, for less than $1,000. I know the brainiacs out there can help me out. Love the site, thanks!"
