Back in November Negroponte mentioned they were exploring the commercialization of the OLPC. I wonder if these concept drawings are for that version. They've announced a desire to make the government-issued laptops distinctive as a way to prevent theft so it makes sense to have at least one commericalized version. BTW: One thing that sets the OLPC apart from anything on the market now is that the "C" in OLPC stands for "child", not "computer". Cool focus to have for a project, no?
My favorite post is really my favorite genre, the "ever-so-responsible, it is'isn't a fake" photo of a thing. Apple things always generate more of this genre so here's today's example:

Seems like phones come out at the rate of about 12.7/minute so EM is a great idea. Congrats on the launch, and count me in on that drawing thing! Anything at all would be a step up from the Moto I've got now. Not even worth knowing the model#.
Ugh! What a missed opportunity! This pic SCREAMS "Caption Contest"!!!!

Here's my lame attempt:
"So, here's the plan. We mount the camera here, then send it after Bin Laden. If we're lucky, and if it doesn't act like a quail, it will make it past the US Naval Observatory without taking birdshot in the chest."
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am trying to configure out a really dumbed down and intuitive PC for my grandmother. She recently had a stroke and while she is under my care I would like to repurpose a laptop for her to surf and email her children. Anyone have any experience with what input devices and UI's are really understandable for the over 80 crowd?"
