Yeah EV could potentially be more enviromentally BAD unless of course the Tree hungers let Nuke Plants become 80% of our power generation rather than the 80% that generated by coal

(its funn to me that tree hugers never seem to live in the forest .... they allways seem to live in the city .... hmmmm)
@CharlieX

heres to fucking you.... make movies worth paying for

wait are you unemployed .... oh yeah thats right .... now go fuck off
Sorry to inform you of this painfull reality but my verizon phone has a SIM card now (blackberry 8800) ....

Sadly its only for the GSM part of the phone ... via vodaphone

let me set the record straight.

VERIZON WILL NEVER EVER EEEEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVVEEEEEERRRRRR do GSM on their network.

in 2009 verizon will be given the rights to the 700 mhz space that they purchased at auction. this system will be LTE based and will be the 4G solution that verizon will provide. LTE is the evolution of GSM

BUT BUT THAT MEANS IT WILL BE GSM compatible.... !!!!

well yes and no .... although technically LTE does have GSM compatibility built into the protocol... verizon will probibly not implement this feature as it would not be cost effecient and would be an unnessary tax on the battery.

But But YES THEY WOULD ... your full of shit!!! Why wouldn't they want my old AT&T phone on their network.

And here is why it sucks to be a Verizon customer:

Verizon has said that they will be going LTE ... but sadly they will be using the 700MZH frequency for this... No this isn't so they can f your plans/hopes/dreams but rather a purely technical reason.

GSM and CDMA don't play nice on the same frequency. As this may suck to be you... it is the reality of the world we live in. Well what does this mean. ... here let me give you a run down.

ATT = (UMTS/HSDPA)GSM
somewhere in 2010 they will roll LTE aggressively
4G 2011

Tmobile = (UMTS/HSPDA)GSM (and a little know UMA system.. AKA WIFI)
promised 3g nationwide by summer ... LTE rollouts by 2011
4G 2012

Sprint = (EVDO) CDMA
EVDO is the last CDMA tech that Sprint will ever roll (yeah thats right)
4G by ..... NEVER they are going what many would call 5G (WIMAX/WiBRO)
(that is of course if they don't go out of business)

Verizon = (EVDA) CDMA
Going LTE on the 700Mhz and rolling out by End of 2009 and offering MAYBE 2010
4G - 2012

we should all take a moment and thank the gods that CDMA IS DEAD
GRRR .... webblog bites ..... oh well
I have an MS in Math ....

MANY long hours spent building this company. Your ideas and just simple personality has truly enriched this company.

You will be missed.

P.S. BTW steveb is not that bad... I mean he is a hard driver and has a bit of a strong personality... but he has in his own way helped this company become what it is today.

OSD .. is that like ADD but for your tv .... oh who cares ... as long as i win it

"I am trying to configure out a really dumbed down and intuitive PC for my grandmother. She recently had a stroke and while she is under my care I would like to repurpose a laptop for her to surf and email her children. Anyone have any experience with what input devices and UI's are really understandable for the over 80 crowd?"
