Why is he pushing Surface so much? Is anyone actually going to be able to use
that practically? I love how he has to keep pushing for it to recognize his input. I must say the phone sync is neat, though.
VLC is definitely the player of choice.

I'm all about Macs but at least Bill has a sense of humor unlike you know who.

"I forgot to invite Bill..." LOL!!! Riiiight....
I know she's a bit of a brown-noser but anyone else think Mika is kinda hot?
The one thing sadder than a stickler for grammar and spelling in a tech blog? Someone who responds to the stickler and pays attention to his/her grammar and spelling while doing so.
@ James Cameron

Or maybe it thrives on the comments of people who don't know how to use grammar and spell check properly when bashing the same site for being Mac fanboys.
Love the message on the iPod in the pic. It made me giggle a little.
@ Khris

I never said, nor intended my comment to infer, that others weren't allowed to like it. Just that they are stupid for doing so.

Make no mistake, it took me all of 2 minutes of use for me to 'understand' WinMo. BTW, when you say "complex" what exactly do you mean by it. It seems to me that the last thing I want to be complex is my cell phone. I understand with functionality comes complexity but that complexity shouldn't be evident in the top-level interface. Though I hesitate to mention it, this can be seen in the iPhone. Say what you want about the keyboard or what-have-you, in terms of the convergence of function and usability, you can't do better. This is where WinMo fails in glorious fashion.
You like WinMo devices? Have you used a WinMo device? It's the closest thing to self-mutilation you can find. I, stupidly, purchased a Samsung SCH-i760 before I came to realize how bad the UI was and now I'm stuck with it. The one saving grace that WinMo has is it's plethora of 3rd party apps which mean a wealth of alternative skins, themes, and wrappers.

As for the Celio, I suppose it has promise despite it's rather limited market. As for the price, it'll come down within 2 months of being released, guaranteed.
Umm, you get a clue you dolt...

Engadget doesn't agree with the RIAA. That last statement in the article is what people call "sarcasm".

Not sure if anyone brought this up yet but let me get this straight...

1) The RIAA says it's illegal to copy CDs to the purchaser's computer
2) In order to effectively load a legal copy of a song to a computer, said song would have to be purchased online
3) The RIAA claims that P2P file sharing hurts CD sales

So does this mean the RIAA is also hurting CD sales? By arguing that ripping CDs to a computer is illegal, aren't they circumventing a large portion of why people purchase CDs in the first place? It would seem that the only route they have available would be either a) not buy anymore CDs or b) buy a CD (for the car, stereo, etc.) as well as a downloaded version of the same CD but what logical consumer would want to do that?

I'm guessing this has been one of the major anti-RIAA arguments for quite some time now which means I'm being redundant and should digress...

...and oh yeah, fuck the RIAA!!!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
