NOLA Jazz is the original Jazz. It all comes from and through New Orleans.

All I know is the idiot mouth breathers I see dragging their fat rear ends to Wal Mart to spend their welfare checks..those people need to go. End Federal or state assistance to them immediately, because it's sufficiently expensive enough to live here as it is, and no one, I repeat NO one should get a free ride or even a heavily subsidized one. Too many people working too hard to keep their heads above water to allow this to continue to happen.

Get rid of the mouth breathers, the thugs and the leeches, and the educated white and black people will FLOOD back into the city.

I moved here 4 months ago after having been a tourist here for 12 years. Decided it was time to put up or shut up, and oh was I homesick for so long.

Not so much anymore.

I love this place, I love not sitting in traffic every morning when I go to work, I love having friends so close you can see them everyday, I love the walkable neighborhoods and I love the culture, and rich history that many other places in America have paved over, walled up and forgotten about.
That isn't to absolve New Orleans of her problems, but what a grand place this is, how beautiful Audobon Park is in the early evening, how St. Charles Ave. looks on a Sunday afternoon or the grand homes in Mid-City (and Uptown).
If there is a heaven...I'm closer to it here.

Doctors still have to get paid, and other departments than deliver service...you can't just do it for free.
Plus the malpractice insurance is un-believably expensive...

I certainly would not work for free.
