I dumped mine when they 1st claimed they *weren't* going to allow for the software updates. Just waiting on a real viable option. B&N will win if they make it compatible w/ Overdrive, like the new Sonys will (unfortunately I agree that adding touch capabilities really degraded the screen quality).
Pioneer made the GPS software for my Honda. Worst GPS I've ever used (& that includes an early Palm/Garmin). Each time I use it I'm reminded of how easy it is for big companies to get something so wrong.
wifi. takes about 3 minutes. 10 start to finish. what's the problem?
I have to agree. When Chrome 1st came out I thought it was pointless. Now it's the only browser I use. Their new sycing of bookmarks across machines is brilliant & the totally stripped layout just flat works.

If their OS is similar: stripped, functional *&* innovative- I can't wait.
Sad too 'cause the Pre's camera is very fast. One of the best things about the phone, really is the camera. It's way faster than any Nokia 5mp. Fast as the iPhone but has a flash. & back loads so you can do really fast shots. Sadly it's not autofocus, but fixed focus. Works most of the time, however.
I am pretty much a palm fanboy. never was until i had a gazillion n series nokias, an apple 3gs & then the palm. it just does exactly what i want in a very elegant way.

that said: pre & pixi appear to be equally laggy. not good.

still no video recording, no real decent applications (where's my chipotle ordering app?) & their stock's being downgraded. not good.

really hope verizon puts some energy behind it. DROID just looks too industrial for mainstream. iPhone's single app paradigm is very frustrating. Nokia's just totally floundering.
Just can't wait two seconds to see your brilliance reflected on the screen?

Updates are good because they fix things, add new functionality, allow future developments to occur.

My Palm Pre's working really well, but I'd love to see side loading become easier & heard that was something they were working on (maybe get doubleTwist to replace the ever annoying iTunes sync tete a tete)..
It never ceases to amaze me how a terrible director & writer hit such a jackpot by lifting a Kurosawa plot (tenuous @ best) & putting it in space 30+ years ago...
How much does George "moneybags" Lucus get for authorizing Droid as a name?
How funny. I was thinking the same thing. In fact, I spent more time watching his outdoor shots (because of the beardless face & aviators) than I did reading the review (especially since I saw no multitouch & crappy camera).
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
