Seidio Palm Pre battery adds more staying power, retains slim figure {Engadget Mobile}
Jul 9th 2009 10:40PM Why you gots to rain on my parade?
Actually, I remember when virtually unknown battery companies sold their wares on eBay for super cheap.
This is a total premium but still has the potential liability should something go wrong. Of course, at least it's not an iPod catching your car on fire... Or made by Sony.

LG's GW300 looks like a low-end WinMo phone, but isn't {Engadget Mobile}
Jul 7th 2009 11:02PM That's a nice looking phone. Functional, some design. Not overly complicated.

Nokia N86 8MP reviewed, "arguably the best device that money can buy" {Engadget Mobile}
Jun 24th 2009 9:03PM I believe you're correct. But megapixels aren't everything. I'm seriously considering an iPhone now as 3mp is "good enough" & while I love Nokia (having had virtually all N series up to the N79) I'm just ho hum these days. They don't seem to be moving forward at all (3 extra megapixels, but it's just not about the hardware anymore). N95 was groundbreaking. It was the first really amazing smartphone in terms of features. However, after having the N95, N95-3, then the 8gb, N82, E71, N79.. I haven't seen anything but a shell change.
Clear shuffles through its last upstanding citizen, tells the rest to fall in line {Engadget}
Jun 23rd 2009 6:30PM I totally agree w/ this. I flew out of Oakland, Sac & SF. Oakland made their own travel delineations. It changed the game & made it much faster for me to get through security.
Clear was an interesting idea. I took the pamphlet twice. But w/ travel down in general & airports getting their act together I just don't think it was necessary.
Symbian looks to seduce iPhone devs with free Nokia 5800s, world destroying robo-duckie {Engadget}
Jun 8th 2009 11:01PM I agree. Pre got its due. Now it's Apple's turn.
I say: Squared Circle for the both of them & let's see who wins.
Personally, I'm leaning towards a Pre (& I'm a huge Nokia fan- but the N97 looks boring, my 5800 *was* boring & my N79 is just doing okay).

T-Mobile USA's servers breached, subscriber data stolen? {Engadget Mobile}
Jun 7th 2009 7:56PM Good luck w/ that. We live in a dead zone. T-Mobile admits this (worked great till our move). Have called 5-7 times, had technicians out. Nothing. They *still* won't let us out of our contract.
Palm Touchstone torn asunder, cost to manufacturer estimated at $5 (update) {Engadget}
Jun 7th 2009 7:31PM Your prior phones weren't exactly stellar camera-phones. How do you think this compares against Nokia's 5mp varieties?
The shutter lag issue does sound nice.
