REPORT: Even without Dodge Ram, Ghosn says Nissan Titan will survive {Autoblog}

Nov 16th 2009 11:34AM I have owned a 07 Titan 4WD LE for over two years now, and I have only had two problems.

Mirror heaters did not work (which was fixed on first trip to dealer, plus they washed/detailed it for me) and the driver seat squeaks when turning. This one keeps coming back, so I need to figure what they are "WD40-ing".

I really don't have any complaints about the truck. Now granted I am not a "off-roader" or hard core truck user, but it does get a fair amount of "truck" use. We even use it for camping (bought a tent that sets up in the bed). The fuel mileage was definitely a pain when gas was so expensive, but it's a huge 4x4 truck. I never expected more than 13-14 mpg (which is about what I get in mostly city driving).

I think Nissan made an excellent truck, but I would rather see it cancelled than letting the platform age way past expiration (like the Ranger) or it becomes a rebadged copy (which you usually can get the "original" cheaper). If I could go back in time would I buy it again? Yes, I would. Now granted I might have waited for about a year (when gas spiked to $4/gallon and got it even cheaper :D)

BlizzCon 2010: July in Las Vegas [Updated x5] {WoW}

Nov 13th 2009 11:28AM The plane ticket from NC to LA is actually cheaper than a ticket from NC to Vegas. I just looked it up on orbitz.com

(cheapest tickets)
Charlotte to LA - $268
Charlotte to Vegas - $368

REPORT: BMW plans to offer four-cylinder diesels in the U.S. {Autoblog}

Nov 12th 2009 9:45AM As far as I know yes, all the diesels in America come from Germany (VW, Audi, BMW, and MB).

I have always been a fan of diesels, and the new Jetta we bought earlier this year (wife's car) is fantastic. It gets great mpg and is a hoot to drive (we got the 6 spd). Remember, it is much more fun to drive a "slow" car fast, then a "fast" car slow.

Nov 11th 2009 11:17AM The more intriguing question would be..."From where would you milk a tauren female (considering they have 'breasts')?"

Nov 11th 2009 9:00AM Warrior. But I am wondering if it will have the same "problem" druids have (gear does not show while "fighting"). Anyone know this? Or will they be werewolves then their gear shows?

Apple's Core i5 / i7 27-inch iMacs now shipping to expectant owners {Engadget}

Nov 10th 2009 10:16AM @ Chris

IIRC, I have think Apple "throttles" the video cards in iMac to keep heat down, therefore the 4850 in that mac may not perform like the one that was benchmarked.

But the real question is why not use the 5850 cards??? They use less power, generate less heat, and are faster. I just think they missed the mark using a year old card, when the new ones would make ALOT more sense in a setup like this.

Nov 10th 2009 9:48AM I am a pretty big mac fan, but I wanted to be able to play more games with the graphics turned up pretty high (without spending an arm and a leg). Sadly, because Apple does not offer anything "good" video cards (without going to the crazy expensive Mac Pro), so I built a computer. $1300 got me Core i7 920, Dark Knight heat sink, 6gb Corsair XMS, Nvidia GTX 260, Antec case, 750 watt Corsair PSU, 640gb WD Black series HDD, Sony DVD burner, and Windows 7.

Yes, I know it is not all integrated and did not include a monitor so it's not "apples to apples", but I really think Apple is missing out on a segment of the population that want an upgradable computer that does not cost over $2,500.
