Actually, IIRC the average age for a video gamer is 33 right now. Sure, kids play games, but there's a reason why mature games sell big, and that's because there's more people over the age of 18 playing games than there are kids under 18. Children are not the targets of the video game industry; they have no purchasing power.
Actually, the American people elected Gore the first time. The Electoral College chose Bush due to the whole Florida issue, but the Supreme Court later ruled that Gore had won the popular election. So don't blame the American people; blame the American bureaucracy.
