I won one, but I am thinking seriously about selling it.
I'm with you on that. I think if Apple does release a new device it should implement a stylus, this would make it a truly versatile device for creative types.
This looks like an interesting device. I wonder how well it could actually render illustrations. I think for an artist who uses both paper and computer this could be an intuitive seamless merging of the two.
Does anyone know what file format it saves drawings in and it's resoultion?
I can find some exciting uses for this!
This thing will do really well...And if they add a phone into it...will do even better.
I think the camera lens looks a bit large and it seems like if they did use one, it would be flush with the glass, or under it. Nice render, though.
I don't own an Xbox but my friend does, and this would give me the perfect excuse to play games on his big television, eschewing the more important aspects of life.
The write up by Thomas Ricker cracked me up this morning. "approaches gently upon the pads of kittens"..Hilarious.
Nice minimalistic design. Elegant and refined. Now just have to see what software it runs, and it specs!
This could be potentially very cool for an artist. Sadly I imagine there will be no penabled screen nor any stylus. I remember jobs saying in the first iPhone keynote "Nobody needs a stylus". Can you imagine a netbook sized tablet/ sketchpad with a stylus and enough processing power to run photoshop and illustrator? Does one exist? Unfortunately all the software I own is mac compatible only and I own a wacom Cintiq with my laptop. Works well enough but not small nor portable for my needs. This could be a great device if they combine multituuch with a stylus- if that is possible.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
