Jonny, that makes two of us, I guess.
Those "hazardous compounds" are nothing that most phone/computer manufacturers aren't using.

But Greenpeace knows Apple gets them headlines, in a way Dell or Gateway or Samsung can't.

Making an electronic device entirely "green" is difficult - mostly for the consumer, when it self-destructs after a short time (look up "tin whiskers").

Of course, Nokia has never worried about longevity in their products, so they have no problem using tin solder or paper circuits or corn starch plastic if it's cheap enough. Yay Nokia, kings of green. Let me call in my Greenpeace donation right now! Oops, my N95 just short-circuited. Oh well.
Open and shut, actually. Businesses who publicly play music have needed to pay performing-rights royalties since people had to hand-crank Victrolas.

The silver lining here is that the PRS (like ASCAP and BMI in the US) collects the money for the artists themselves, not the record labels.

Unless the label strong-armed songwriting royalties from the artist, that is.
Engadget caught by a BUG in Amazon's categorization. The new iPods aren't listed as "hard drive players."

Back up to look at all MP3 players and watch the Zune get shut out.
LOL at trying to counter the RDF with the EDF (Engadget Distortion Effect).
You might look forward to seeing that Apple employee fired - this smells like he took the bait in a sting.

And Engadget's lack of apology makes you look like you have no qualms about posting iffy information in the future, so maybe heads should roll there, too.
"Unintentionally" lovable???

So basically you think Apple/their agency had no idea how funny/cool this Hodgman guy is, and just picked him out of a photo book of available talent because he looked dorky?

Don't you think they may have actually LIKED Hodgman themselves??
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new laptop, and I want a 13-incher. I need something with a great keyboard for typing, as this will mostly be used for note taking in class. I am absolutely smitten with the XPS 13, but I'm afraid that with its age Dell is going to give it an update soon. Any advice for someone in my shoes?"
