I do not know of a specific way to fix the world economy- and I doubt that any single, coherent action exists. However, I have come to feel that time is the only thing we have to use at this point. A slow re-building of confidence through prudent investment, adequate oversight of the re-structuring of the banking industry, and a renewed focus on jobs that create real value, rather than value through intangibles like derivatives will help restore the world economy to its former glory.

Great- will update tonight!

I hope this gets the AppleTV 'modders' going, I'm interested to see what people can do with it.

MBP for gadget of the year? Not a chance! Really, its just an evolution of the powerbook, nothing more- nothing even exciting, IMO. The Wii is revolutionary- something that really has changed how people think about video games. It is impressive. I'm a die-hard mac fan, but come on!
@ Sam: Not everyone reads this blog every day, and I missed the first mailplane discussion. This program is something I've been hoping for since I got a Gmail account 2.5 years ago. I'm happy to hear about closed Betas! If you remember, Gmail was a closed beta for quite a long time, and I'm sure you heard plenty about that.

@ Ruben: Looks like an awesome app and I cannot wait to try the Beta! Thank you!
I'd like this a whole lot better if it was Bush as big brother.... would be much more accurate too.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
