A Chocolate without a slide? I wonder how well this will do - it's like a Sidekick without the rotating flip - it's one of the main draws of the phone. I was never a bug fan of the Chocolate, but the slide feature was catchier than yet another basic flip phone.
I waited in line at the Apple Store in the North Shore Mall in Peabody MA for about an hour and a half. There were plenty of 16 giggers, I got one of the last black 8s. I had called all the local ATG shops and all had sold out by about 10am. I got mine at about 7:30pm - activation and number port from ol T-Mob was fast an simple.
I did, however, experience an Apple employee freaking out in the parking lot. She was talking on her phone about how they were asked to take only half hour breaks during the 10 hour shift. Ouch.
I honestly thought it was going to be much, much worse than it actually was.
How does this make any sense at all? You'd have to take the headphones off your head in order to see if you were "in the green." They should have just built it with a limiter instead of whatever chip detects decibels or increased electrical flow or however you'd sense it.
My favorite scene is when Xerxes first comes into the movie. Freakin awesome.
Your comment may have been witty if it made sense. Many people order laptops for jobs or work-related projects, and need them within a reasonable time. I don't see people foaming at the mouth for the Wii because they need it to get their TPS reports done.
The Wii absolutely does not need a cooling solution while it's on and running. On the other hand, WiiConnect24 makes my vertical Wii quite warm, to the point of actually being hot, so it'd be nice if there was a fix/update for this. I don't know, leave the fan on at a super-low voltage or something?
Extremely impressive, of course. I'm actually really interested to see how the system holds up to regular use, as the chopping of the CPU has me skeptical. I know that you've changed it from a semi-passive cooling system to an active cooling system, but the build of the entire set of metal might not hold up. Keep us posted on how it's doing!
I laugh whenever I see anyone with ANYTHING made by Coby. During my brief stint as an employee at a Strawberries CD store (and we sold Coby "products"), the most common complaint I ever heard was "My _________ broke" - insert "headphones," "CD player," "MP3 player," etc. All were made by Coby. First, they always wanted to complain to everyone within earshot about how poor the product was. Then, after I mentioned that if they wanted something that actually WORKED, they should purchase (the only other brand we carried) something made by Sony, because at least their headphones typically last longer than a few days (unlike Cobys).

I'd also hear "But they're not LOUD ENOUGH!," typically from that guy who blasts hip-hop through his headphones for the whole train/bus to hear.

Face it, regardless of whatever pretend "niche" Coby fills or attempts to fill - it's utter crap that isn't worth spending a penny slug on. I'd rather fight a crocodile than wear a Coby product on my body.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
