1. Post a source before stating something like that..
2. Less trivial, but which two years are you comparing? Are these the first two years of each console, because that I would find surprising. If it's just the past two years, did you stop to consider that maybe MS has already largely saturated their install base, and thus the 'potential' sales are far less than Sony where the PS3 is still a 'new' item.
Guitar Wizard looks awesome!
and it's responses like this that give Mac owners a bad name and a poor reputation.

That's wonderful that your macbook has the same resolution...it doesn't have the same internal specs though, and it is meant for mainstream usage. This is a 17" notebook that is typically targeted as more of a desktop replacement, or for gaming.

With regard to the touchpad being centered, if you'd pay a little bit of attention you'd notice that with the 17" screen there is also a full numeric keypad to the right. If the trackpad were centered to the full laptop it would not be in a convenient place while you're doing 98% of your typing.

Try pretending for a second that just because someone doesn't do design work at Apple, that doesn't mean their ideas are wrong.
"the device employs the tried and true 2.4 GHz frequency instead of that fancy Bluetooth or WiFi"

Are these different WiFi and Bluetooth frequencies? Last I checked they are all on the 2.4GHz band... ('A' excluded of course)
8525 is looking a little ragged
I own PCs, some run XP some run Ubuntu. I can't stand Vista, and admittedly I'm not a huge Apple fan, but I do understand why people like it, and that's their own choice .

However, sticking to the topic at hand, from everything I've read thus far, Leopard as a $130 'upgrade' seems outrageous. People keep trying to compare that cost to Vista, but it really isn't. The accurate comparison is to compare it to Windows XP vs Windows XP SP2. Service Pack 2 did a whole lot more than fix things, but also added new features (yes I know the firewall isn't the best, but better than nothing) etc. To me, Leopard is more like 'SP2', and in that regard there was no cost whatsoever from Microsoft. Additionally there are the full 'refreshes' of IE (I still use firefox, but you get the point), some quite useful apps avaiable for free (windows defender etc)

I love my Ubuntu Laptop and my Windows XP one. Both are stable (at times XP moreso), but that's just my opinion.

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
