I agree. I'm on AT&T now and I wish I could go back to T-Mobile, but without 3G in my area I won't even consider it.
A dedicated twitter device... lame. People don't want to carry around a phone, a music device, and now a twitter device. I think I'm one of the last people on Earth that just doesn't have a Twitter account, and I have no plans to get one. As if Myspace and Facebook aren't breeding grounds for stalkers already. Twitter is for update whores who want to validate their lives for every day tasks that they have to do anyway.
@fanboy that sounds all well and good, but you can't really want that, do you? I love driving (especially since buying an Audi) and I couldn't imagine having to sit in the passengers seat.
I love driving my Audi A4 3.0 Quattro and there is no way I would trade it for a robotic one.
I would also like to point out that because of the angle of the top of that "sim card tray" it seems that it's either going to have extra room around it once it's pushed in (not likely on an apple device), or someone really screwed up when photoshopping this one.
I have to agree with bandigolo that this article was pretty craptastic.

His first three points sound ignorant. And his last point isn't even a feature in Windows 7! Did he only test it out for a day? I've been using Windows 7 for months now (MSDN Subscription) and I have to say that Aero should not have been dismissed so easily. Like many others have said, I find it hard to use any machine that does not have it.
Were you aware that the Microsoft licensing model allows you to install Windows on both your desktop and your laptop as long as both will not be used at the same time? (they can't really enforce this) Check the EULA. It requires you to contact Microsoft to obtain another key for your second device, but it's little trouble and will save you some money.
@t
I couldn't have said it better myself... if I were ignorant and completely oblivious to anything resembling common sense.

OG_Phenix said it best a couple threads up:

"Honestly...the whole Mac/Windows thing makes less sense every time I hear it. I prefer Windows to OSX...but Apple != a software company.

There are some segments of the industry Microsoft and Apple compete in...but Apple's strategy is to build hardware at a premium and have an OS that works primarily on their own hardware. Microsoft's strategy is to offer software that runs on computers from the past decade and to blanket the market with devices that run their OS, rather than optimize it for their own hardware.

There is clearly room for both parties, and the idea that they are direct competition for each other, or that their business model look anything alike is silly. Comparing a OSX running on hardware it was specifically designed for to Windows (which has to be coded to run on a near-infinite number of combinations is apples to oranges."

On top of that, you have to take your Mac to a "genius" while us Windows users can just fix it ourselves.
So, how did they count the households that own both PCs and Macs? Were they only counted on the Mac side? Both sides? Neither side? Also, owning a Mac you have to have at least one extra electronic to keep up with the PC crowd... a DVR. :) I don't think it has anything to do with how rich or poor you are. Also, when you take into consideration that less than 10% of users are on Macs and the low end buyers are always going to go with PCs, these numbers don't mean anything.
@Brdystyls

Smoke a cigarette. How do you feel? Are you laughing at everything? Did your window on reality get any smaller? Can you drive? What effects are those around you feeling from you smoking this cigarette?

Now, smoke pot. How do you feel? You probably don't care enough to respond to this thread. You probably shouldn't get in a car because you are impaired. How are those around you who didn't smoke it? Are they feeling a little like you?

My point is the effects of the second hand smoke from pot. How can you argue that? I'm not saying that second hand cigarette smoke isn't bad for you, but what effects does it have on your, your sense of reality and your ability to function? And, if you say "I actually feel more alert when I smoke pot" well, then sir you smoke a little too much of it. Don't use the alcohol argument either, because it still doesn't answer the questions about those standing around you while you are doing it.

Like I said, if you want to do it in your home then go for it. I don't care.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
