I have fallen in love with Fusion Garage. I think Arrington did nothing but offer is persona as a selling means, and now he wants a ridiculous amount of profit on the device 50%. I bet Fusion Garage would of offered Arrington a reasonable amount of money (10% or less). Now Arrington is throwing together some bogus and expensive law suit cause he knows Fusion Garage cant afford it, will loose investors and may be forced to Arrington's terms or be forced to go Bankrupt. That is a plausibly scenario.
Its Not HD, but if you a Boxee Member, dont forget to watch the new beta unveiling tonight on UStream at 7.
Shame on people who are writing this thing off before seeing it. I think Pete Rojas likes to start new web sites cause as they get more popular, they also get douchier fans..

I dont read TechCrunch or know of Mike Arrington. But it sounds like he has been taking credit for other peoples work for a while now. Its like if someone read Josh's post about the perfect smart-phone, and said, "Hey Josh, I'm making that." Josh: "Really, Can i give in insight and feedback along the way." "Sure we would love that, your well respected." Josh's next engadget post: "I'm making a phone. I will have it soon. Its gonna be free with no contract and uses white noise."
How can you say Comcast buying NBC is a good thing. Its a good thing for comcast subscribers. Once NBC content is removed from Verizon FiOS HD and On Demand, and Hulu is made some app on Comcasts homepage then you will see the issue. Its that Comcast has full incentive to lock out other providers from that content. Comcast bought my local Bost Fox Sports Network Channel. It took Government involvement to get Comcast to allow Verizon an HD feed of that channel which it already had when it was FSN and not CSN, and it was probably only because the Judge didn't have Comcast and wanted to watch the Celtics in HD. I dont trust any ISP either that wants me to pay for the gigabit of traffic. if I get a 20/10 connection I expect to be allowed to max out that connection 24/7.
So what about local media playback? Do I have to use picasaweb to upload my pics one at a time? This seems like a netbook OS, but the biggest problem with netbooks is that they aren't always connected. Wifi connections at public places aren't cheap and neither is a data card from a cell carrier which is usually outrageous and never has a great signal when your indoors.

I think this should just be rolled into Android as an optional front end. I don't see how it benefits them to have this second OS that will be very handicapped (unless they have native apps in HTML similar to WebOS to play media and perform other tasks). Until I can upload all my Media to google to have them play it back for me (and feed my tiny ads while doing so) I don't see this winning the hearts of anyone.
I wonder how long it will take for those blockbuster kiosks to turn into infected worm and virus terminals like those digital camera printing kiosks.
Palm needs to add GPU support to Pre pronto!
I dont understand how it looks the same size as my 5870 yet its got 2 GPUS in there. My 5870 puts out quite a bit of heat just using windows Aero effects.
I torrented Windows 7 x64 pro a month ago and did a clean install. Then I downloaded the Student.exe and got myself a valid license key. Cause I originally had a clean install the license did not work, but I ran the exe and "upgraded" and there was no problems and the license took.
Cant windows 7 do that out of the box to DLNA devices? XBOX, PS3, my sweet Onkyo TX-NR906.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What's the best gaming laptop for under 1,500 bucks? I had my eye on the P7805u (Gateway), but it seems Best Buy has run out for the time being. Also, as a secondary question, I like the specs on brands such as iBUYPOWER and CyberPower and the like, but are they reliable? I'm a little worried about buying labels that aren't huge like Dell, Gateway, etc. Thanks!"
