"The blue shirts" don't make any commission. They really couldn't care less HOW much your cables cost.
mememememe please
it's EA's game. They have the hardware specs; they could make it plug into the Wiimote if they wanted to. Blame EA, not Nintendo.

(Devil's Advocate: The logic here is probably that if you plugged it into the Wiimote, what would you DO with the Wiimote while you had the mic? Hold it in your other hand? That's awkward. They could just make it a microphone bud, so you hold the Wiimote upside-down and use IT as your microphone, but I don't know how feasible the engineering on that would be and they obviously want it to feel just like a "real" microphone, so...)

(Devil's Advocate Redux: That chip everybody keeps talking about is just an analog-digital signal converter. It's not intended for a microphone whatsoever. I would almost think it was for the accelerometer in the nunchunk if I didn't know it would probably FIT in the nunchunk...hrm.)
That's the OTHER ruse. --;
I would type some long, involved, humorous pleading, but I'm at work.

MAKING MINIMUM WAGE WITH A WIFE AND THREE KIDS BAREFOOT IN THE KITCHEN.

Erm, or something.
I love the way this is the only comment in the whole thread on the Phoenix Wright image, yet it's been voted up the highest.
DDR Solo uses the top right square.

Pump It Up uses ONLY the corners and the center. DDR isn't the only game in the world, yaknow.

And, uhm, all arcade platforms have tactile feedback. The little ridges around the squares? They help you feel where you are on the pad.

//obviously you don't play
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
