Not everyone wants to be tied to a white, shiny homosexual looking laptop
Maybe the hackers can get it to dual boot os x and Windows Mobile!!!!!!
I wouldn't say this is a waste of energy. Computer vision is the next big thing. Projects such as these are the first steps in becoming computer vision experts. You have to crawl before you walk.
I don't understand why people continue to bash Microsoft for their attempt at the mp3 market. This is their FIRST attempt. Of course the iPod is a nicer piece of hardware (and software) at this point, but just give Microsoft a little bit of time and they will come out with a beautiful device (maybe better than future versions of the iPod). Look at their first attempt in the video game market. The XBOX was very solid (like the Zune is now), and PS2 dominated the market at that time. Then the 360 surpassed the Sony in only its second shot at the video game market. I'm not saying the Zune improvements will be as drastic as the Xbox's, but don't count Microsoft out yet.
Hey I am looking to buy a new laptop, I truly love Asian machines (Sony, Fujitsu) but I don't love the price. And I'm not interested in a mac. Does anyone know of some good asian companies who make great machines besides the more well known. And where can you by a nice ASUS or ACER machine, or do they not exist?
They probably wouldn't be struggling if they stopped making extremely bland-looking machines. The only laptops that are uglier than a Dell laptop is the Thinkpad, but its a helluva machine.
I don't understand why people give the Zune such a hard time. Most likely because Microsoft makes it. It's a nice device and Microsoft will only improve with time. Nobody can just jump into a market and take control. The iPod popularity truly only began about 3 years ago. And at that point they had already had an iPod out for about 3 years. So just give Microsoft a little time, they will catch up.
can someone please explain why sony will not put a hard drive in the psp. i would certainly buy a psp with a hard drive
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
