@Bootes
I was going to ask what made this different then an adhoc network, but that makes sense.
AC1 was an awesome game, so.... go fuck yourself.
To be honest I was going to pirate it for my pc. But if it's only $40 I might buy it for my 360.
Well most of those giveaway phones aren't feature phones. They're the crappy samsung flip phone. Personally I just got a new phone from Telus in Canada. And it's a feature phone. Personally I would've loved to have gotten the touch pro2 or even the touch pro or blackberry tour but on top of the phone price I would've had to add on a crazy expensive data plan. It just didn't make sense.
I just got a new plan from Telus a couple days ago and i had to fight and argue with them like crazy to get a decent plan. After negotiating for days they told me I'd get for $40 a month total, which is 200 anytime minutes (sent & recieved), unlimited texting, 6pm evenings and weekends, 5 Numbers with unlimited call & Text Nationwide, caller ID, & voicemail. (That price also includes the access fees but not tax).
Of course when I actually went to get my new phone and sign up, it turns out that it's going to cost $47 a month, and the fav5 and 6pm evenings and weekends are only for one year. Not to mention that the phone ended up being $50 more than the "sale" price as to get the discount you had to sign up for a specific package for 3 months that cost $20 per month.
In short STAY AWAY FROM TELUS if you're in canada.
Bullshit. The companies will use that as extra profit. Reducing corporate taxes will not reduce rates. What we really need is a new carrier modeled after a european one that offers european prices. Then people can finally stop taking it in the ass. I predict that eventually something similar to car companies will come in where foreign competitors will come in, offer higher quality products for cheaper and you'll see the slow crumbling of carriers that have become too large to survive.
I don't think you understand. The PalmOS isn't being licensed to other companies like winMo and Android. It's success is likely blackberry OS and is intrinsincally linked with the success of palm hardware. It will definately stand a chance if palm keeps chugging out quality products.
He's not being an ass. Australia was founded as a colony because that's where england sent criminals. It was a penal colony. I personally like that idea. Put all the racists and homophobes together. And you can have a land free of douchebags.
Has he never heard of the powerful wind of vengeance that is the Microsoft Ban Hammer (tm) ???
Rockstar Toronto also hasn't made any big titles. And I mean big on the scale of assasin's creed or gta.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
