I would use it to check the weather first thing in the morning. Now wouldn't it be funny if I won and I only used it for that boring reason? I guess I could figure out other things to use it for.
Here it is:

some adulation
It is a well established fact that when red-light cameras are installed the manufacturer recommends reducing yellow-light times because that's exactly what increases revenue.

Nasty side-effect - it increases accidents. But hey, more money for the government AND the manufacturer, right?
For free, it sounds like a great deal.
My luck, is trying. If such a thing exists. It doesn't. But still, it is funny in a Yoda haiku-ish way.
I want to not shell out a single farthing! But win a freething!
I would like a toy, to win, for free.
I would like to win a thing.

You're not alone buddy. If you have any kind of eye for design or UI you're bound to feel like you're taking crazy pills. 99% of companies pay no attention to usability or good design.

Seriously, they don't have to. Just make it shiny enough and skinny enough that it blinds you on a sunny day and cramps your hands when you use it, and the fanboys will buy them like hotcakes.
At least they made it nearly impossible to use one handed, just like the iPhone.

Well, unless you bring a table with you everywhere...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
