Audi already have a version. Which they got from VW. PDK = Stronic = DSG
@John

Someone had better tell Honda to get with the program and release the new Insight in four years then. Hardly anyone knew anything about it, then they pop up in Paris and say it's available in 09.

GM meanwhile have been telling anyone who will listen about the Volt for at least the last 5 years and it's still 2 years away and looks nothing *at all* like the original design...
Ok, this is what i don't understand. This is the final design - so why make customers wait until the second half of 2010 before they can go and purchase one? Your not seriously telling me it takes 2 years to retool a car plant in this day and age..
Seriously?

WHO CARES who Dan is talking about. The fact of the matter is you wrote a non-article and then, right at the bottom, stick an update link that refutes pretty much every sentence you wrote above.

If you're wrong, suck it up and say so at the top of the post. Don't bury it at the bottom.
What is this? Fox News? Dan called you out, the least you could do is post his response at the top of your article, you know, like any responsible journalist would do.

Oh wait. My bad, all the responsible people have left TUAW already..
Pretty much. We just sold our 07 for $2k more than we bought it for and it only had 13k miles. So basically we drove around for a year for free.
Dude, you bought a DULL. What did you expect?
@Nohone

I'd call you an idiot, but you are obviously just trolling. let me just remove the trolliness out of your post.

$14.99 for the SD version of No Country off iTunes (it will be more, but iTunes does not display the purchase price of the HD version)
$229.00 for an Apple TV (required to buy the HD version)
$0 for the fact you obviously already have a (most likely Windows) PC.
-------------
$243.99

$21.95 for a HD version of No Country from Amazon
$0 (guessing here, but you probably have a HDTV.)
$379.99 for a Sony Blu-Ray player at Costco
--------------
$401.94

A difference of $157.95. In Apple's favor.. Even if you assume the HD version from iTunes will be the same price as a HD Disc, $21.95; it still comes out cheaper. $251.95 v $401.94; a saving of $149.99

You don't need to drive to the store, consuming gas / taking up time. You don't need to order it online, and then have amazon ship it to you / ups consume gas delivering it.

You fire up the AppleTV, find the movie, start the download, go make popcorn then watch it.
It's just a pity that behind the simple GUI lies mediocre mapping, routing that is just plain silly and on the model i had, the 7100; Traffic that didn't work 10 miles out of Chicago (Navigon's home base) Couple that with absolutely useless technical support. I was told the reason the traffic system wouldn't work was "Interference from planes taking off and landing at O'Hare airport" and you have a really wonderful system for the easily amused, who like eye candy over features that work.

The only reason i bought it was because Amazon where having a fire sale on them and i got it for nearly $200 less than MRRP. Luckily Amazon took it back.
Indeed. The MB Air is all over it.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
