I've used it. It's still hard on the eyes. Any of the eInk readers are definately the way to go because it is just like reading a paper based book. Much better on your eyes. I plan on getting the Cybook 3 (www.bookeen.com) because it supports in addition to it's own fromat html, pdf, text and the Mobibook version of the Palm format ".pdb". All of which you can find litteraly 100's of thousands of books in on newsgroups etc. Frankly it supprizes me that eBooks haven't caught on more. I'm by no means a heavy reader (only 3 to 5 books a week) but I've used palm's, cell phones etc. for reading exclusively since the the first palm came out and on paper based books in that time at all and I would never go back to paper because of the conveiniance inherant in haveing several 100's of books along at all times.

I'm sorry but it's just not real "Technology" if it's not black or chrome!!! Grrrr.....

Now seriously optional colors are fine but why does it seem that when a manufacturer decides to offer more then the standard black, gray, white treo they always seem to offer pastel colors only? I don't object to pastels, they are just not my choice. If I could pick any color I'd pick something like a deep dark blood red, the green that used to be called "race car green" (Jaguars used to have that color available), or deep dark purple verging on black. Something that glows purple almost UV under a black light. Now that would be a cool color option!!

That's a question I've had before and have yet to find an answer to. Why are the SSHD's so expensive? and why don't they just use a SDHC card for the OS in an internal slot? Is it a speed differance? I hope someone here knows the answer and is willing to comment on it. This would be great because it would cut the price and allow the user more options for the size of the primary drive.

I agree. Although it should just be that OS's come on an SDHC card and the motherboard should have a SDHC slot at the back of the case for the OS. With SDHC cards available right now in sizes up to 8GB and soon 16GB, and 4GB ones going for $28 at Best Buy you could probably load the OS on to a 1 GB one for less then what it costs to put the OS on a CD. And after makeing them in bulk the cost with packageing would probably be right in line with what they are doing right now for selling an OS.

I've seen a lot of steampunk mods to hardware the last few years but not many cyberpunk mods. You know the stuff that looks like it was made by th Borg. Has anyone seen anything like that recently?

Nope, it's "chomping at the bit". It's taken from what a horse will often do when anxious... it will chomp on the bit (the metal bar in it's mouth). Like just before a race etc.

Why would the gap matter? There's no reaseon to even have them connected to each other even. The keys for your right hand are on the right and for the left hand on the left.

I agree that would be fantastic! Turn it on and be checking your eMail, looking up info on Google etc and then a window pops up notifying you that WinXP/Linux/whatever has finished loading do you wish to switch to it now? Yes/No. That would remove much of the anoyance of having nothing to do while waiting for it to boot. And if your open browser window in gmail for example, being able to have the open window transfer to over to a open browser in WinXP. Combine that with being able to access the hard drive from the "Linux in Bios" and it would be a great tool for fixing problems. Boot to Linux, get needed driver or file off the internet and then boot directly to XP in safe mode and install. The same for stubborn virus's (virii?). Even better would be an updatable antivirus program installed in Linux/Bios that would scan windows OS hard drives...
