Apple prepping iPhone 2.1 software {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Jul 16th 2008 10:04AM I think there's a ".0" missing in that headline.
Playing with AppStore {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Jul 10th 2008 2:01PM Remote would be "perfect" if it let you control video and other features on the AppleTV. If it's music only... not so much.
Two Apple iPhone apps: Remote Control and Texas Hold'em {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Jul 10th 2008 11:22AM "Yes it will".... what? Only control music? So it seems. Apparently it's really just interfacing with the AirTunes feature of iTunes, which can stream music to the AppleTV, instead of with the AppleTV itself, which would have been considerably more useful.
Another Poster for 'The Great Debaters' {Cinematical}
Dec 12th 2007 2:51PM I guess they rejected the alternate title, "The Master Debaters"...

Dec 10th 2007 10:34AM Er...
So, I know it's been floating around the Nets for a while, but I'm pretty sure the "evil-ness" of Cate Blanchett's character is supposed to be a surprise. You guys really need to work on your system of spoiler warnings.

SageTV headed for Max OS X {Engadget}
Sep 28th 2006 10:18AM It would be REALLY nice if Apple would make a plugin API for FrontRow. If Apples won't add a CableCARD slot to the Mini or iTV, at least let someone else have a go. Also, it would encourage third-party support, since other companies will have a chance to complement what Apple does instead of being replaced by them (cf. Konfabulator, many others).
The latest PS3 developments, condensed {Engadget}
Sep 25th 2006 5:00PM I should have been an easy sell for Sony -- I'm a habitual early-adopter who was very gung-ho for both Blu-ray and the PS3, but now I plan to wait at least a year before making a decision on next-gen formats.
The original format war took place when I was too young to take notice, but for years I've joined in the chorus of lamenting the "inferior" VHS format's victory. Sony has now given us all a better context to understand why exactly they lost back then and are on track to lose again.
Sony's new HVR-V1U HDV cam does 24p {Engadget}
Sep 19th 2006 3:56PM Boe,
There isn't an HD workflow currently in existence that needs 1080p at 60fps. HOWEVER, if you need the extra frames for slow-mo effects at a (kinda) budget price, the Panasonic HVX with P2 recording has been out for a while.
Microsoft launches the Zune! {Engadget}
Sep 14th 2006 12:37PM Looks awfully... thick. What are the dimensions (compared to the iPod)?
MS is bettin' big that people will get on board the sharing/collaboration wagon, but I remain skeptical. I get the feeling some execs said, "iPods are popular... MySpace is popular... let's combine them for something even more popular!"
