LaCie ups the LaCinema Rugged ante with new HD version {Engadget}

Jul 9th 2009 8:04AM Ill stick to the $100 WDTV and a 16gb flash drive.much cheaper and better GUI. 500gb doesn't matter to me.

HP Mini 110 netbook goes pink and white, adds Broadcom's HD video acceleration {Engadget}

Jul 8th 2009 11:36AM why give it HD capability and no HDMI out? whats the point really? Yeah i can watch 720p or 1080 videos on my 10inch screen...the big advantage would be to be able to watch in on a larger screen with an HDMI out connection. prob good for gamers but not for video people.

This sounds like a waste of good Hardware acceleration.

Palm Pre gets upgraded to 1.0.4 (update: homebrew installs via email dead for now) {Engadget}

Jun 29th 2009 2:00PM the updates supposedly closes the ability to install apps by the email method. So you either update now or you update later when the phone does it for you.

Hurry up and release some more apps or publish a full SDK so i dont have to continue playing the cat and mouse game..

Sprint takes a bite out of the Apple, touts innovative Pre features like 'multitasking' {Engadget}

Jun 26th 2009 1:46PM You seem to assume a lot about palm and pre owners.

Not all customers are floored by 50k apps. I have an ipod touch and jailbroke it and even i only added maybe 6 apps to it. Granted its not an iphone with cellular service but still.

i see you cherry picked what features you think are its strong points. So heres a few for you so since it seems youve never actually used one

1.Synergy- easy integration of all contacts. being able to sync my Google,facebook and outlook contacts all at the same time.

2.Multitasking- Dont really ahve to say much but if youve ever used the cards on the Pre ull understand how amazing it is having full control and not losing any saved data when u close and app to switch to another or keep them open.

3.Media- now the music player on the pre is just as good as the one on the ipod. Video player could be much better. And will be when additional apps are created. Plus we have Itunes capability.

4.Universal Search- simply type the initials or name of a person and easily pick if u want to send MMS,Text,email or call or type in a phrase or question and get search engine results or google maps hits

those are just a few of the MAIN features the version 1 Pre has that the version 3 iphone CURRENTLY doesnt have. And i didnt even bring up SprintV and Sprint navigation that cant be done on AT&T or Iphone.

And YES i know with the 3GS you have a bunch of software updates like video editing and voice dialing that the Pre doesnt have..BUT im sure are being created right now. Only thing pre cant do that 3GS can is have that AMAZING COMPASS that customers have been asking for..lol

Jun 26th 2009 11:49AM PLease tell us how it lacks in everything else?

Sprint takes a bite out of the Apple, touts innovative Pre features like 'multitasking' {Engadget}

Jun 26th 2009 11:43AM and im sure for every 1 person that hates Sprint theres another that hates AT&T. We all have different stories to tell about these comapanies.

Me personally iv had only once problem with Sprint in 8yrs of being a customer.

Im glad Sprint and Palm are finally bringing out the advertising. I love my Pre and its been the best phone iv ever had. Not hating on the iphone at all but its just not for me. I like having options and multitasking to me is very important feature. Plus the $$ i save on my sprint plan cant be beat by AT&T. Give me unlimited everything for $60 and ill continue to be a customer.
