Guessing this patent refers to Ink Well, handwriting recognition software already built into Mac OS X.
Not sure why the original article says it is in San Francisco, Cupertino is a fair distance from the city.
I don't remember that happening but anyway...

With all the spotlight that was on Apple it would have been smarter to show off a front-facing camera and surprise us with GPS or something.

It's obvious that there is no front facing camera and most likely never will be one, Apple is clearly being stubborn about it, much like A2DP, MMS and video recording.
To above comments MobileMe will work in exactly the same way .Mac did but with added extras.

Hate to nitpick but the Regent Street Store is the third largest Apple Store in the world dragging behind North Michigan Avenue and West 14th Street, possibly Fifth Avenue as well?
I'd be up for a bit of this, I'm in the UK looking to hook into US content.

I've seen Apple hold back stock much further than 1 year, I saw a second gen iPod swapped last year.

So if you take in a 4GB iPhone then it'll be replaced with a 4GB iPhone.
@Speddy, I completely disagree, FX is one of the best font managers out there and it just happens to be free. If they charged as much as some of the other manufacturers do; I'd still own it.
@Steve,

The MacBook Air's at Macworld weren't running 10.5.2 so what makes you assume that the multi-touch additions are included in the next Leopard update?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
