Engadget's recession antidote: win a Joby Gorillapod SLR-Zoom! {Engadget}

May 1st 2009 1:16PM I can already imagine the insane amount of things I could position this thing on D: pleeeaaaseeee leeett meee wiiiiinnn

VIDEO: Super Replicas' Lamborghini Reventon clone isn't fooling anyone {Autoblog}

Apr 26th 2009 2:53PM Wow, my eyes are burning from watching that abomination of a replica, too bad the clip didn't end with them taking it to a car crusher, then I would have felt relieved that no one else would have to see such a failure.

There's pleanty of pics around of the actual Reventon, I wonder how they managed to botch this up so bad outside of the fact that they're conceptually inept.

Engadget endorses Monster Cable? Uh, hell no. {Engadget}

Apr 17th 2009 4:19PM What? No monster ted to do his damage control copy and paste? Lame, and why is engadget listed under reviews on page 2 for what was essentially a press release mention? Last I checked whitepaper reports aren't actual reviews.

They really are striving to drop the ball in every way possible.

First round of 2009 Formula Drift season in the books {Autoblog}

Apr 13th 2009 3:13PM "I don't even see how difficult it is to drift as these guys do"

"I have drifted(certainly not to the extent these guys can hold it)"

Thanks for clarifying that your experience is flawed, you might as well note that you do donuts in the parking lot so you don't get what the big deal is.

It's like me saying I used to race stoplight to stoplight so I don't get what the big deal is about dragsters even if I haven't raced something as powerful as they do.

It's a facet of motoring, maybe not motorsports but it still requires tuning, skill and it provides entertainment to the masses. If you're that offended scroll past the post and move along until you catch something that does match your tastes. 2 posts in a month is hardly going to kill you and if it does then you've got some issues man.

Monster Cable learns nothing, sues Monster Transmission {Engadget}

Apr 9th 2009 5:05PM @iRoc

"I do not condone or like Monster Cable suing every joe anybody that uses the word monster in it's name, but I'm not going to jump on a lemming bandwagon either"

Thanks, because you know, consumer reactions don't do anything to stop companies like this from doing bad things because they're afraid of their image... oh wait.. it just did the last time they pulled this nonsense.

Just because you like to roll over and take it from companies doesn't mean that others are lemmings for not following your path.

NVIDIA's PhysX SDK sashays onto Nintendo's Wii {Engadget}

Mar 19th 2009 1:04PM Kinda cool that it's official. Although developers have already been using it on the Wii without any real issue, even the launch title Red Steel incorporated it.

Apple stupidly rejects Tweetie 1.3 for foul language in Twitter trends {Engadget Mobile}

Mar 10th 2009 8:02PM It would be great if they did report more of these things up to the masses so that the consumer knows and hopefully the carrier / auth board actually realizes how flawed their evaluation panel really is. Banning for the sake of what might appear? That's one of the most absurd reasons around for any company to do. Here's hoping at some point the platform actually opens up to reasonable standards without it being stunted in progress by insane fanboys to defend any ill-move they make so they never have to evolve.

DTV switch rough going for some {Engadget HD}

Mar 4th 2009 7:38PM Been lucky here so far, rabbit ears in the window and picking up OTA signals just fine for digital. Tried using a GE model from target and it was pretty bad for the results.

Slumdog Millionaire goes from Academy Awards stage to Blu-ray disc March 31 {Engadget HD}

Mar 4th 2009 7:15PM Seeing as it was bashed by their own culture as being a cheap western exploitation bit I guess it'll always struggle to figure out where it belongs given that the story production and so on all came from the west, not from them.
