Aw come ON.. First I want to move from my iPhone 3G to the Droid on Verizon... Now this? Well, I guess I can just move my iPhone to T-Mo and save a few hundred bucks.

All in all its nice to see stuff like this because *hopefully* it should cause everyone to step up their game.
I think I'd have a bigger issue if I knew that Apple (or any manufacturer) was throwing defective parts in the trash rather than finding a use for it.

I'm with others here - as long as it works. The only thing that would bother me is if its replaced with something that LOOKS worse than what you had before. For instance, if they replace your lid it should look as good or better than before, not dented, scratched or messed up
I love Apple and their products - our family has a couple MacBook Pro's, an Air, a couple iPhone 3Gs, etc... Also, up until recently you couldn't sell me on anything but the iPhone.

Now I find myself lusting after the Droid and honestly - I'm so sick of AT&T I can't wait for my contract to expire so I can get away from AT&T.
Late '08 15" Unibody here. This fix has improved the performance of my Mac considerably. I was dealing with the 'stutter' constantly and now its gone. It's how my machine SHOULD have ran when I bought it!!!
What this needs is a radar detector built into it too. Then I could justify the cost :)
Ugh. I pay AT&T around $300/mo for wireless, internet and home phone service. You're ****ing telling me I have to pay $150 for this because they can't provide me decent cell service at my house. This is so frustrating.

Give it to me free if I'm already spending $3600/year with you.
The WSJ is a specialty paper - this will work fine for them and they will survive. Unfortunately, other papers will try and jump on this bandwagon and fail miserably (especially local papers). Maybe the locals should start merging with TV and Radio stations to make their businesses stronger.
In parts of the country where electricity is more expensive, what kind of cost are you looking at if you're charging this thing every day?

Whats the carbon footprint of the amount of electricity tens of thousands of these things will require?
This is so awesome. I pay about $180/mo for AT&T but I won't qualify.

My wife and I have iPhone 3Gs and my kid has a RAZR

$59.99/mo base plan
$20.00/mo to have the other 2 phones on the plan
$60.00/mo for two iphone data plans
$30.00/mo for Unlimited Text Messaging on all phones

Nice.... F*** you AT&T.
Oh, I currently use Things 2.0 but because I can't afford any new software I had to 'bootleg' a copy. I'd love to be completely legal.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a 12- or 13-inch ultraportable that can also play modern games at a reasonable level, for less than $1,000. I know the brainiacs out there can help me out. Love the site, thanks!"
