Wow, you guys sure do try really hard to make this phone look as unappealing as possible. And its not even a Nokia phone ...
@Look_Around_You

stop living in the 90s man. next thing you'll be telling us that we don't have the necessary keyboard drivers.
weird. I've searched for other reviews of the Hero, and some didn't mention any lag at all.

this reviewer for instance (4th hit on google) also mentioned that his device ran without lag pretty much the whole time:

@AJ

And yet, she still manages to look more friendly
so iphones have no imei now? everyone should just start using ip6 addresses as unique identifiers
@Jakob

It's all in the implementation, just because 3d flash games are slow, that doesn't mean that games written in javascript have to be. Javascript is just a language, and its the exposed APIs that can make writing 3d accelerated games possible. Such work has already been done before (take a look at seed and its clutter bindings), so it should be quite possible to do something similar for the Pre.
that's almost as bizarre as the carrier pigeon system for delivering ip packets, described here:

What value does this thing bring, exactly?
@trevor: you double click them and choose where to extract. what's so hard about that?
OR,

with a simple flip of a switch, you can change the color of the entire wall. you know, without having to repaint everything.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
