Wearable farming robot suit takes the load off {Engadget}

Jan 19th 2008 4:06AM for the cost of that suit I'd rather spend the money on employing more workers, technology makes us weak, look around in most cases people with more technology = weaker/fatter/more isolated/dependent people

Sarcos' military exoskeleton becomes a frightening reality {Engadget}

Nov 25th 2007 10:41PM the range of motion that this suit is limited to and the size/weight of his back pack make me question it's ability to stand back up again

I just don't like how the voice over talks it up so much, 'walking up stairs, no problem' it walked up one stair then stopped

right now I still think it'd make a great forklift and maybe to rescue/clean up collapsed buildings

it's stability and how precisely he was able to punch the bag was impressive(though he stuffed up the bag in the end)

anyway as I said give it a couple years and it'll have shaped up enough, for now it's fugly, it's circuitry junk needs to be shrunk down to about a tenth of what it has now and they should think about putting the battery's somewhere other than the back as it's to easy to just chuck all the leftovers their, if the had some battery's in the back and put a couple behind the calves and or on the sides of the thighs the user could replace them Her/Himself without taking the suit off or getting other people to deal with the battery's

oh and being able to jog doesn't mean I'm a motor cycle either 'dumbass'

"It's amazing that some people have no notion of reality given that they have only ever experienced fantasy and fiction and can't extract themselves into the real world. It's a clea rindication of who is a rational adult and who is an inexperienced child (or posesse sonly the mental faculties of one)."
and was that meant for me or all those guys who've played to much Halo?

Sarcos' military exoskeleton becomes a frightening reality {Engadget}

Nov 25th 2007 7:03AM haha whatever, push that guy on his back and watch him try to get up

you guys have to much imagination, this is far off from being little more than a portable forklift, give it a couple years they might have something to show by then + saying it can run is stupid, I jog faster than that

Motivatrix's MX9 Workout Master replaces aging stationary bike {Engadget}

Apr 3rd 2007 5:37PM not that I can judge properly without even using the thing but I severly doubt it has anything on eyetoy Kinetic or Kinetc Combat other than it doesn't take up so much dang space
