Most definitely do want! My birthday is in 2 weeks from today anyways. ^^
About that TPS Report....
I suggest a 40" Samsung TV, They are perfect size for 1080p movie viewing and gaming. I have both a 32" samsung and a 47" Toshiba and it seems in-between is more of a sweet spot. As far as audio goes, I have an onkyo receiver with bose 5.1 speakers. I don't believe 7.1 is that much greater than 5.1, and would only add more speakers connected to front/rear if needed.

For a single-person pc-oriented setup, I recommend the Logitech Z-5500 speakers. They pack quite a punch for 5.1 and are very cheap. I've found they feel like theater speakers for a single person.
but dude, it's SWEDED!
@iClap

Since when am I not allowed to carry both a Cellphone and a PMP?
Nice try buddy, but you don't have to rebuy an xbox when you get the RROD, you don't have to buy the $99 wifi addon to get wifi, and 60 bucks a year isn't going to sink you anywhere. I mean that's like buying a single pack of cigarretes per month? And I hardly can believe you received an RROD that fast without abusing it. Heck, I admit I received it, but I bought the Elite when it first came out (RROD'd in March, didn't take long to get it fixed). Microsoft happily took it and gave me a new mobo that I doubt will RROD ever again.

I have a PS3 phat AND a PS3 slim and only use them for movie viewing as well as an occasional WipEout session. There are quite a few excellent games for PS3 (Killzone 2, Uncharted, God of War), but I just never really fell in love with it. I like the feel of my xbox controller, I like the NXE dashboard more then the XMB the PS3 uses, and I almost always use the party chat system when I'm on my Xbox. This is entirely my opinion, and I hope you respect it.

It's great the PS3's doing so well at this time, but it's also a shame that Sony is still losing money for each PS3 sold. It just feels as if it's not Sony's time to shine just yet. Maybe Sony can truly shine at the next generation of consoles? Blu-Ray is their only real dealbreaker, and is probably what's keeping the PS3 in business.

By the way, the "scratched discs" is your own damn fault. What moron tilts a disc drive while the disk is in motion?
Showing it in Quicktime... Lol. AH well-
"Video Support MPEG-4: MPEG-4 (MP4/M4V) (.mp4) Part 2 video[4] - Simple Profile up to 2.5 Mbps peak video bit rate; 720 pixels x 480 pixels up to 30 frames per second (or 720 pixels x 576 pixels up to 25 frames per second). Zune software will transcode HD MPEG-4 files at device sync

Footnotes:
[4] In MP4/M4V container format, QuickTime (.mov) files will transcode at time of sync."
- Connect to SSID "linksys"
- navigate to 192.168.1.1 or WiFi router's IP
- 100 bucks says the username is [blank] and the password is "admin".
We don't even know which versions of 360's the pollers chose, or if they even chose honestly. I don't think the Valhallas will be failing anytime soon. I think I might have one since my elite RROD'd in march after early adopting it.
@James

The problem with Linux is that it often does not work from the beginning. Common issues are X11 configuration, sound configuration, and graphics drivers. I know this because I've used Linux on a few different computers for many years. And if you dare decide use the straight up CLI, you don't want an idiot to use that since they'll probably sudo rm -rf / anways.

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
