I uh... Took advantage of a glitch on the Direct2drive system a while back wherein bundling Mirror's Edge, Dead Space and Mercenaries 2 into the checkout list cut the price to zero (didn't even need credit card details).
Before I'm accused of not supporting the developer, I own the first two on 360 (which is currently fucked over by the RROD).

It may have been wrong of me, but I'm not going to say no to free games directly from EA :P
"to anything with a decent internet connection"
... Shit.
To be honest I'm surprised EA hasn't already ported the Sims to microwaves. After all, everyone knows a woman's place is in the kitchen.
Hell, in the original Halo even many of the guns sounded rather distinctive. Find me anything else that sounds like the MA5B assault rifle.
A wizard did it.
Faced with the choice I still prefer using the original DS phat; the buttons are just so much more friendly!
Nah, in all likelihood I'll be voting lib dem on the opposite end of the scale.
I was just intrigued to see how quickly I could be downranked (not subtle enough to call it trolling ;D).
You're asking for pure free market and capitalist ideals from a country with a renowned (and admittedly broken) social support structure...

This is why I'm voting BNP.
Joystiq, have you been wiki-tampering?

"The Shadow Cabinet (also called the Shadow Front Bench) is a senior group of Dark Lords and Ladies in the Westminster system of government who together under the leadership of the Hand of the Dark Lord (or the leader of other smaller evil factions) form a sinister cabinet that parallels the government's, whose members shadow or mark each individual member of the government for eventual grisly demise."

I must say I lol'd heartily. My local MP is the shadow home secretary, by the by.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
