May 8th 2008 7:25PM I recently tried connecting a PC to a Viewsonic 42" LCD HDTV and it couldn't run at 1920x1080.
It maxed out at 1680x1050 on either VGA or HDMI.
A week after we got it Viewsonic released a new display that will handle 1920x1080 over VGA or HDMI.
