Engadget gets a new look and adds Switched to the family! {Engadget}

Apr 10th 2008 9:23AM I'm a designer and I don't think it's a improvement. Functionwise it doesn't add anything. The headersection is too freakin heigh and that banner would suite better below the header instead of above.

Need I go on? Everything it too freaking big.. endless scroll. You should have selected a testpanel including regular Engadget visitors and run the new lay-out in betafase.. feedback is what it's all about. The Engadget crew may like it but that just doesn't matter. It's the users who use it that should approve of it.

Virginia Tech students create "smart" brake lights for cars {Engadget}

Mar 27th 2008 4:22AM You can see that by the intensity of the light at the moment. So it's a bit useless imo.

Android gets handled, now with Street View {Engadget}

Feb 28th 2008 9:02AM GUI is ugly as hell.
The phone itself same.

Nokia N95 8GB listed on Nokia USA: $780 {Engadget}

Dec 31st 2007 6:19AM Seriously you guys are lucky. I've got the European version of the N95 8GB and it costs €729,00 overhere.. that's $1072,94!

If I waited and got it in the States I only would have paid €529,97.
But I'm not sad.. it's the best money I spend in years. It's a great device. For example the iPhone doesn't have a thing on the N95 8GB.

GPS/HSDPA/UMTS + quad band/Wifi/5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens.. need I go on?

Samsung's F490 / P720 handsets get outed {Engadget}

Dec 24th 2007 1:13PM Both Armani phone and F700 (Vodafone exclusive) have been released in Europe for a while now. That F700 seems to combine best of both worlds. Massive touchscreen and a full Qwerty keyboard but the reality is less shiny. The operating system Samsungs 'Cross bladiha' (forgot the freaking name) is slow as hell and running on both phones.

So to conclude. Great design but it lacks speed and WIFI -> where's the WIFI??
I bought a N95 8GB instead. All touchscreen phones at the moment have flaws.. are slow, are missing a major feature.

Optimus Maximus shows his design chops {Engadget}

Nov 16th 2007 7:50AM Is Logitech sleeping on this? I bet Optimus hasn't trademarked this technology, because they simply don't have the cash to do so. Otherwise the Optimus Maximus would be out ages ago against a reasonable price don't you think so?

So f*ck them.. if Logitech of Microsoft snatches their idea and come out with a rival I'll be the first one in line to buy one. I think $125-150 is a reasonable price for a standard model, which has preset lay-outs. But I'll bet you they'll make a 'pro' version on which you can 'buy' new layouts. Hmm.. I'll stop, giving ideas away overhere.

HTC's S730 Vox-followup spotted in the wild? {Engadget}

Oct 1st 2007 3:54AM Damn I should have waited for this sucker. Bought my S710 in April and it's just that tad too slow to be a great phone. TyTN II which got released here three weeks ago also looks damn good.. except for the fact that it's 300 euro's more expensive as the S710. But that's why you get all the extra's ;)

Xbox 360 Bioshock contest winner! {Engadget}

Sep 1st 2007 3:32PM Grown up and stop flaming.
I've started a ginuine discussion and you're trying to make it a mudfight.

1. I've got a job with which I'm sure I outearn you.
2. The point of attending a contest is a chance to win, so why would I buy it?
3. Not everybody has got the time to play with his/her Xbox 360, in your case your pecker, all day because they're working. So it would be sort of a waist of money don't you think?
