I for one am excited. I wanted a Slacker Portable when they came out, but they were too big and the touch part of the screen got really bad reviews. This looks like a great second gen attempt.
The obvious benefit to this is that if you forget to record / just don't record a show, there could be an option for still watching it. Also, if something runs 2-5 minutes later than you set to record, you could still get the ending.
It may be for charity but could some one at least GLANCE OVER the promo. They misspelled PLEASE for christ sakes.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ENGADGET...and many moreeeeee (with jazz hands and all)

Santo Domingo...we still need tickets for our honeymoon!
J.P. Flaim of the Sports Junkies fame. While he has only fought once, he did lose in a quite over the top manner. I'm not sure he got a single punch in and the Junkies to this day harp on him.
What is with the attacks on the Wii, no one ever claimed it had a High Definition DVD player or even the remote need for HDMI. To me it sounds like you need to realize that sometimes game play is more important than pretty pictures and fancy connections. The Big N got it right, just admit it.
you are assuming that they arent that dumb, ASSUMING, no where does it say that what is on those racks arent full ps3's. and yes i do think that they are dumb enough to do this....sony hasnt had a good idea in about 5 years
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
