"can other makes at LEAST try to make their hybrids not look like Prius so much?"

Yes that is such a good idea, I'm fed up with the amount of stupid Hybrids out there that look just like the Prius.

The only good thing about the Prius is the fact it's hybrid. Had Toyota also released one of their other more practical cars like the Aygo in hybrid format I might have ended up getting that one last time, or even an MPV in hybrid format.

Instead I settled with the Nissan Note. Really like the Nissan Leaf except for one major problem, it's only electric, so when you run out of juice you can't go no further. Would have been nice to at least have some way of charging it up when it's flat without being near your house (maybe solar panels on the roof? - I know solar panels aren't going to make that much of a difference but if your in the middle of nowhere and the battery goes flat what do you do? At least with solar panels you can wait a few hours for a bit of charge)

Nice car and nice design, at last a car that doesn't look like a sports car, but bad how you have to charge it from mains and I can't see many garages installing power points for it, it's taken them long enough to even consider installing LPG.
Excellent news that MS has made a profit on the 360, hopefully this trend continues, and hopefully Sony's PS3 goes down the pan (that'll teach Sony not to screw with Europe again and release the console here nearly 4 months after the rest of the world). I bought my 360 at Christmas 06 as I couldn't be bothered waiting for Sony to mess all Europeans around till April, and considering the exclusive games on the 360 like Mass Effect and Halo3 I think I made a superb choice, added to the extended warranty that MS has just added with the "red ring of death" syndrome. I've found MS customer service to be one of the best, whenever there is a problem they work there hardest to fix it (like with the PSU problem on the first one, I bought my original X-Box pre-owned with the faulty cable and they still replaced it free of charge!), this is very different to how Sony deal with a problem - the first Playstation's had an issue with the ball bearings on the CD drive wearing out - Sony's answer - deny it was a problem, correct the problem and re-sell loads of fixed PS1's to the end consumer.

As for disc scratching with the 360's there is a solution to this - put the 360 flat not vertical - disc drives were never designed to work properly on their side unless the disc is restrained to stop it wobbling (my Plextor DVD-RW has clips for this, but I still wouldn't use it on it's side).
The Motorola A1000 had a full keyboard too (and so does the A1200/Motorola MING), these are far better than them phones 'cos they have touch screens which mean they make a bigger screen and they don't need to leave space for all these keyboards/numpads. I think touchscreen phones are definatly the way forward, we just need some better support from the manufacturers.
I'm hoping that someone like TeamXtender cracks one of these hard drives open and figures out how to put a normal SATA HDD in there (or develops a case that will plug in the xbox HDD connector allowing a normal SATA drive to be plugged in, you must be able to do this so why aren't all these third party companies now releasing stuff for the xbox 360. There not even doing games controllers. I suppose MS would be a bit unhappy with them but that's never stopped companies in the past (the Codies (Codemasters) were probably the best for going against console manufacturers wishes with there custom carts for Sega & Nintendo consoles with extra joystick ports and there Action Replay carts and discs)
Loads of games have features not currently available until you properly play the game, the main ones being the sport games like Tiger Woods & Fight Night, on the box it shows all the different courses you can play but most of them you have to play through the game before you get access to these places.

Anyway if you really do want to play these games without learning how to play them properly there is always the option of cheating. Either use a cheat code or find a game save someone's posted on the internet and load it up with all the songs. I got to the second island on GTA:VCS by loading a game save from the internet.
I've got the guiter with the unresponsive whammy bar. I was wondering why it wasn't responding to some of the long notes and it's a real nuisance. If it is due to the games sensitivity of the whammy bar the simple way to fix this is to add an option to the options screen to allow you to calibrate the whammy bar before you start, like the screen delay calibration option.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"All of these new nettops have me intrigued. I'm looking for a small, quiet and cheap PC to replace my aging tower in my home office, and all it really needs to do is load Microsoft Office, check email and surf the web. Is there a particular nettop that's better (or a better value) than another? I know it's a rather new segment, but hopefully someone has taken a chance on one already. Thanks!"
