i'm guessing "server grade" means WD raid edition.

does this mean that time machine will work with any NAS now?
what is that - like a 10" screen? why the fark would you need HD on that?
canada finally gets some love. yay!

pity about the vista.
8600 is a good compromise. cramming in a powerful graphics card really saps the battery life, even when not being stressed. an 8600m still gives decent battery, but can perform in games.
@tonyC - this is 16" 16:9, the 1530 and 1730 are 16:10. i'm guessing this thing is a similar width to a 17" and similar height to a 15".

and i'm very happy to see tv and computer screen ratios coming together. i hope this is a trend, and not just some crazy thing that dell is doing.
i'm also pretty sure that .02ms doesn't matter with a 60 or even 75hz refresh rate.
hopefully silverthorne can deliver a bump in both processor speed and battery life. those are the only two things that my n800 is lacking right now. i'd love to see what nokia comes out with in the new year.
my lovingly hand-assembled nine-month-old to-of-the-line computer surely does not suck. vista really is shit slow
sure it's linkbaiting, but can you think of a more disappointing tech-related thing that happened this year?
but how many millilitres in a drop?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"All of these new nettops have me intrigued. I'm looking for a small, quiet and cheap PC to replace my aging tower in my home office, and all it really needs to do is load Microsoft Office, check email and surf the web. Is there a particular nettop that's better (or a better value) than another? I know it's a rather new segment, but hopefully someone has taken a chance on one already. Thanks!"
