I've been using SonicStage 4.0 and have not had any problems. My only wish was that they still had the funky background visualizations from 1.5 That made for some cool playback at parties with my notebook set to full screen.
RyanV,
Don't assume that US Copyright law is the end all and be all. Those of us in Canuckistan know that our copyright law lets us make as many archival copies as we want as long as we aren't distributing them. Heck some would aregue that even the "no distribution" part is open to debate in our courts.

So how does this compare to the Apple hifi? I just couldn't resist :-)
#18. Woot. They're on sonystyle.ca along with the NW-A's that never made it south of the border.
#6 "If the Treo is such a terrible design, why is it so widely used? There are a ton of other choices, so it's suprising that such a terrible phone is so popular."

Will: This isn't directed to you... your post was well reasoned.

Just for the fun of it let's substitute "XP" for "Treo" and watch Apple fanboys go ballistic.
#34 I think you're right. This thread and the one about the VAIO UX have numerous people complaining about MSRP. Guess what guys...Sony's not aiming for you as their core market. They are trying to rebuild themselves as a premier brand and charge a premium price. I see nothing wrong with that as long as they don't simply engage in brand engineering like GM. If they truely have features that distinguish themselves from others in the console/desktop/laptop marketplace then the strategy will succeed. And from what I've read of the PS3 and UX I think they are on the right track.

#12. It's to the west of Canuckistan
It seems to me that many anti-Sony people like to compare Blu-Ray to Betamax and create the impression that Sony is going it alone on this one. Guess what guys Panasonic's parent company is even bigger than Sony and their in the same camp. Oh and BTW all you Mac types, isn't Apple also onside?

As an Oral Pathologist who teaches undergraduates and residents AND who knows the individuals who developed this device I can tell you that it can be a benefit even to clinicians with trained eyes. I'm speaking from experience here... where did you get your information?

To cut is not always to cure even if the margins are clear. If you are as knowledgeable as you want us to believe you will understand the concept of field of cancerization as it affects the floor of the mouth and you will understand how genotypic changes can be present even in the absence of phenotypic changes or minimal phenotypic changes.

This device is used to diagnose PREmalignant changes at the earliest stage of altered maturation.

So what did blank DVD-R's cost when they hit the market?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
