Mar 17th 2008 4:31PM I hope they are finally going to do this outside. Then it is hard to keep stuff clean. The Japanese tried this is 84ish and the numbers just weren't there yet. If they can get multiple revenue streams maybe they can pull it off, heat diffusion from power plant, CO2 scrubber, fish food for aquaculture and then fuel.

Apple is in business to make money and good for them for making it and getting you to buy it. Huge hits during promo for adds which is making you Money Engadget so Get over it everyone is getting rich over this thing except the people buying it. And they are going to sell out. I think they should sell for more so they don't.

Sep 20th 2006 12:52PM OLPC doesn't fix everything but this may help give skills to poor people who will be able to export those skills and hopefully claw their way out of opressive poverty. The problem Nith listed are mostly syptoms of extreme poverty. HIV in the US is mostly a chronic diease a this point. So maybe OLPC doesn't fix all the world's ills but it likely will help cut the guy some slack. He is trying to do something good.
