As an Intel shareholder I'm kinda pissed about this. They had to do this because they're being blatant anti-competitive jerks, and if they'd gone to court they could've gotten hammered even worse. Intel needs to stop screwing with the markets and start competing with real innovation. That, or they need to be broken up into separate companies that will.
I'm sure Amazon is about as scared of an Apple tablet as Hyundai is of a fancy new Bugatti.

At $1k per unit, Apple may (MAY) sell as many of these tablets as Bugatti sells Veyrons.
It's so thoughtful of Texas to build a city just for patent trolls.
So they're distributing joints, digitally? How can I download one of these joints?
@(Unverified) Once bitten, twice shy. I bought a domestic car, it's one of the better ones and it's still janky as hell and is constantly breaking on me, and I haven't even hit 60k miles. Definitely never buying American again. Hellooooo Toyota.
Intel is dumping their garbage into the marketplace to keep Nvidia's better graphics hardware from taking hold. They're crooked as hell and they've been fined over a billion in europe, and settled with AMD for another billion stateside. The problem is, the consumers aren't getting anything out of these deals, and Intel isn't learning. They're continuing to fight dirty and consumers are the ones getting the shaft.

As for whatever they may have down the road, cool. Problem is, I can't play Team Fortress 2 on the graphics hardware that is made out of promises, and meanwhile they're giving Nvidia's perfectly good graphics chip the old prison yard shiv. They deserve to be called out for it, and trade blogs shouldn't give their junk graphics hardware the time of day.
Intel "graphics." DO NOT WANT

STOP REVIEWING GARBAGE PLZ
Selling my MBP for one of these the day they drop.
Can't wait for google to make the traditional phone system obsolete. I'm porting my number to GV the day they launch that feature.
These batteries are made by Sony, but that's no excuse: Apple picked them and distributed them. Apple failed to verify their quality, and this is all Apple's problem.

I have a 2006 MBP, and I had two of these batteries get recalled. Apple shrewdly limited the warranty after they were replaced, and the last battery only had a 90-day guarantee. So when my THIRD BATTERY failed, Apple's support personnel essentially told me to get lost because it was no longer their problem. Classy. The MBP ended up having tons of other problems, but I digress. Needless to say I'm shopping around for a fourth battery, but I definitely won't be buying Apple's $200 version of this battery.

When the chips are down, Apple's hardware isn't really any better than Dell, HP, or Sony. They're all cobbled together from hardware made by the lowest bidder.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
