Whatever happened to the 80-core die that they were showing off a while back?
I use NiMH batteries in my SB-600 and have had no issues with them running out of juice after a photoshoot (granted I like to use flash as little as possible, but still).

Sounds to me like an anecdotal sell.
I noticed that most of the shots were taken so that you don't see any rolling shutter artifacts. How does it look in motion is what I want to know.
No, there's a whole line of computers, music players, and phones for that.
US Only? That blows chunks. So much for loving your neighbors to the North...
That's exactly what my first thought was as well - Linux Live CD, and extract whatever data you need. From there a criminal could even go on to reformat the harddrive after getting what they need, and put whatever OS they want onto it. I'd hardly call it secure.
One of the little flood critters. I can picture it jumping at my face like a headcrab.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
