I have a special place to use this.
I have a sweet spot reserved for guys like you...
LOGO Television Network, an MTV/Viacom property, programming is not being telecast in HD on Dish Network. On Dish the LOGO channel is advertised as "HD", but the programming including click music videos, full length movies, etc is all being broadcast in SD. Either MTV or Dish is misrepresenting its content resolution quality.
Lots of stupid comments here. Of course everyone everywhere who has a set capable of receiving HD should view everything in highdef. I am grateful to all content providers who provide HD content. HD for everyone, everywhere! Die SD die!
Sling in Morocco, various locations.
I like Dish HD video/audio quality and subscribe to "everything" except sports, on-demand, and ppd. BUT: Dish has absolutely NO content specifically intended for a GLBT audience - no ppv, no porn, no on-demand, nada. IMO that prudish failure is stupid, poor marketing. The GLBT audience is waiting anxiously for GLBT specific content. Go for it Dish - start "dishin it" out!
Awesome if they will be able to take a HDV mini tape shot in HD (1080/60i e.g. Canon HV20) and convert contents to HD Bluray. All without copy protection so the BlueRay disc contents can be input to a NLE (e.g. Sony Vegas Pro) for final editing and effects). They will also need ability to take multiple tapes and convert to all to one BR disc.
Great application for this technology. All operating rooms should be so equipped.
I believe a RED lcd field monitor might already be on the market or in development
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
