I interpreted the first question regarding target-disk mode and the MBP and iMac differently that then reply posted. I understood it as the user wanted to put the iMac in target-disk mode, and have it attached to the fully functioning MBP; and then asking if they could still use the wireless keyboard and mouse (that they originally had set up with their iMac).

In this case, the answer would be "yes", the would just need to use the Bluetooth prefpane or wizard to pair the devices to the laptop.
Currently? I don't keep track of tasks currently, which is part of the problem! I need something to be forced (As in, given to me for free) upon me so that I get my life together!
Ha. The last thing I copied was this URL from my feed into my browser =)

Clips looks rad; I have read some nice reviews of it in the last few weeks.
I had jailbroken a while back. Last week I went into DFU mode and did a full Restore from iTunes, hopefully wiping/re-virginizing everything.

Today I Updated to the new software/firmware, and everything seems to have gone fine.

The thing that seems odd is that when my phone came back on, I had a second page of icons, and the only thing on that page was an icon for the Contacts app, which didn't use to be on the iPhone, but I think was part of the iPod Touch setup.

Is this normal?
The current beta doesn't seem to support OS X server for me either.

However, according to the video, OS X Server support will be in the Next beta, not the one that is currently available.
I have no idea right now to my answer to the poll. Gonna have to wait until I get back home.

What I want to know though, is what cable/dvr system (if its not just a photoshop image) the picture here is from?! My Comcast station guide is puke-ish by comparison; this one looks clean, with some awesomeness thrown in.

Help me out!
So... Maybe I became totally braindead since I hacked my phone.. but I am not getting this.

I used SCP to get the com.apple.springboard.plist file onto my mac.

I opened it with the default plist editor... and I can't seem to find Any of the stuff mentioned here.

What'd I screw up?
Maybe someone can help me out here? I followed all the steps, and I think everything went great! I'm at 1.1.1, with ssh access, all my previous files and stuff are there, etc, etc, etc.

The problem is that the SpringBoard doesn't show my apps. The guide talks about needing to edit a plist file to get around this; but the problem is that 1) i suck at VIM 2) i dont see any other way to edit the file 3) I am too dumb to know how to copy this plist file from the iphone to my mac so I can edit with a gui.

any help?

Thanks!
Agreed with #20. I used AppTapp on my 1.0.2 and loved it. I did a normal restore to 1.0.2 before I upgraded to 1.1.1, and everything worked fine. Accept for the fact that I got sad with no 3rd party apps. So I downgraded back to 1.0.2.

I think now I am going to wait for AppTapp to get up to speed, and then restore to factory 1.0.2, update to factory 1.1.1, then AppTapp back for the apps.

I have ATT as a carrier, so I don't care as much about the SIM unlocking stuffs.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What's the best gaming laptop for under 1,500 bucks? I had my eye on the P7805u (Gateway), but it seems Best Buy has run out for the time being. Also, as a secondary question, I like the specs on brands such as iBUYPOWER and CyberPower and the like, but are they reliable? I'm a little worried about buying labels that aren't huge like Dell, Gateway, etc. Thanks!"
