Well, this is gross.

I've long admired a lot of DW's interface work. He doesn't seem to have much in terms of hard-core nuts-and-bolts coding skills, but he often manages to use the interface in a pleasing and intuitive way. I've bought Newsfire and xtorrent (I buy a lot of shareware), but eventually drifted away from using them when I learned about their seedy undersides.

I've actually been using Inquisitor for some time now. It seemed like a legit application, and I decided that I should give his software another chance. I always assumed that the idea was to make money with referrals, like Apple does with the Safari search field. I feel somewhat violated that the software doctors the search results without notice. I guess I will have to put this behind me as well. Sad.
Burned! Thank goodness for Time Machine.
Most email spam images are attachments, not HTML embeds.
Well, this kicks me off the fence as to whether or not to purchase Leopard. For me, the new features just aren't compelling enough to justify a $100 outlay, especially on a student budget. There's nothing that even comes close to approaching the usefulness of, say, smart folders+spotlight in Tiger. It's really quite underwhelming.
This feature epitomizes my disappointment with the touch. While Apple has made compromises for "lesser" products before, to my knowledge it has never engaged in direct software crippling to differentiate products. I always associate such malarky with Microsoft.
This kind of crippling mid-range products in order to differentiate them from the high-end has a distinctly microsoftian ring to it. iPod Premium Ultimate Edition, anyone?

This Apple-is-the-new-Microsoft thing gets more and more credibility with every boneheaded monopolistic move like this.
Er, I guess form autosubmit for 1Passwd still works in Safari 3...

Wow, I guess 1Passwd's autosubmit feature still works in Safari 3...

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
