I was reading the comments and one reader got it right about this tech - normal speakers are not isotropic (Dave) am actually thinking that for this to work would require headphones - which is of course a growth market with a growing number of audiophile products available for it.
These guys need to have a serious chat to Farb Rausch about making their demos. Holy crap, can you imaging what they paid for that load of early 90's render-shite!? the Kasparov demo from back when FR were still called 'Elitegroup' was better than that - actually come to think of it, they even had the spiders and swarm thing going on in there too... I'm serious: http://www.farb-rausch.com/productions.php they could probably do the whole demo in 64KB.
Actually, given the direction of virtualization technology, if the VM on the host can be altered (virtual circuits) then all the clients could potentially be affected. This drastically broadens the attack surface since there are many more datacenters than chip-fabs in the world.
Man, don't you guys see the forest? Apple gets in to bed with Intel, Intel now has huge anti-trust pressures on it - more than before, because now Intel seemingly dominates another sector which was previously owned by PowerPC. So can you put the pieces together?
Intel wants the PA Semi tech, Apple wants (uses) the Intel tech and can clean up by having an exclusivity deal with Intel on specific items in their roadmap whilst Intel still gets to enjoy the benefits of the PA Semi tech along the way without the headache of those pesky anti-trust issues. Apple 'owns' it right?
Typo: MING should actually read MINGE which is what every Englishman will call this when its finally released... If its a Moto its obviously going to be an appalling user experience which will never compare to its external appearance.
That is one family with waaaaaaaaaaaay too much time on their hands. Did I mention that family is, like, strange? Like 'The Shining' strange... I was expecting the rolly-ass thing to bust out an axe and go Jack Torrance on their asses.
"My father-in-law is heading back to school in the spring and wants a laptop for Christmas. The only catch is their budget is around $400 and he does not want a netbook. He's not very "tech savvy" at all and doesn't need a hoss of a machine (not that $400 could get you one). We would like to get it for him as soon as possible and would love some input."
