I agree with many of the comments that the new A8 is very boring on the outside, yet very well done on the inside. However, based on the comments by de Nysschen this appears to be in line with Audi's objectives. I do have hope though that different colors will be more flattering to the new A8. I have a feeling that white, black and dark blue will make it look more attractive.
@Level: Seriously? You must have missed BMW's M54/S54 engine from 2000 that produced 300+hp with a straight 6 and managed to win engine of the year for 6 straight years...

As for their current set of engines, yes their turbos are because of fuel economy. Please spend some time familiarizing yourself with the CAFE Standards: http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/rules/cafe/overview.htm .
I wonder if the opposite holds true. Do darker cars then use less fule and energy to bring the car up to opperating temperatures (diff, transmission, etc.)? If so, what are the "savings" from that engery that isn't used?
I've been thinking about getting a backup solution and this would be great!
I too was just thinking the stero/buttons looked very out of place. Keep in mind the Vanquish was released in the 90s while AM was still under Ford ownership. However, based on a) flagship AM and b) this K upgrade package I'd expect better.
If that were true, and an upgrade made to the iPhone to also allow this, I would be at the store ASAP!
Never posted here before, although I've been reading for some time now....
While I appreciate this being made aware to a larger audience this has been around down at Tech for *years*. I'm not sure why it's being posted as some sort of breakthrough.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
