You know where people read a lot of books? The beach.

If this thing can stand up to sand, surf, sun, and tanning oil, I'm in.
Strange...most of us grew up making telephone calls from our homes during which time we'd stay indoors. When did it become necessary to keep kids connected communication-wise, while also letting them loose from the home? It'll be a cold day in hell before my kid gets to make a phone call on anything other than a landline.
"Because of their arrogance and deceptiveness, I have never trusted these companies and I would welcome anything that would hasten their elimination."

As the Spanish proverb goes: "Better suffer a known evil than change for uncertain good"

You're assuming that whomever replaces Apple and Google would not adopt the same arrogant and deceptive tactics.

Let us all know when you find this Utopian corporation.
"..and a rechargeable Li-ion that should prove handy if you make your way into the wilderness."

I predict a case of someone stranded in the wilderness with this GPS due to the fact that they had run-down the battery from excessive gaming and/or pr0n.
Actually the price of ink has remained fairly constant.

A significant component of the cost of an inkjet cartridge, however, lies in the printhead hardware that is part of every cartridge.

The newer Kodak inkjet printers internalize the printhead hardware. This means the end-user doesn't keep purchasing printhead hardware with every cartridge. End result: lower cost for replacement inks - to the order of 50% savings.

But back to the topic on hand, when we're talking about manufacturing solar cells, hardware boards or other, inkjet printing is a very attractive option: little wastage, fairly consistent high-volume output, and little to no toxic waste generated. Compare that to conventional chemical etching processes which ain't helpin' Momma Nature in the least.

For the record, the article did not specifically state that it would be using present-day conventional ink, just relying on inkjet printing methods. I would imagine that you would have to purchase a cartridge of fullerenes to get a working printed solar-sheet...just remember to swap out the cartridge when you need to print out that book-report for school.

If they could put the solar-paint in an aerosol can, you'd have power-generating graffiti.
Now, I'm not a criminal-genius so I'll ask you geniuses here...

If you were to receive a large amount of money through the mail, what would you do with it?

You could go on a spending spree, but wouldn't you raise-some-eyebrows with that new Ferrari in the driveway? Plus, if you even make it to the dealership, do you pay cash - I would imagine red-flags would pop up at various point of the transaction.

Do you declare it as a gift and put it in an interest-bearing savings account? U.S. government will still want taxes paid on this.

Lets not forget, this box was mailed to a home address. Whoever mailed it, knows where it went. To them, it might be worth a round-trip ticket and a personal visit to reclaim 90k.

I, for one, think involving the authorities was the correct decision. In hindsight, I would have preferred to keep my name and hometown withheld - to prevent any form of "collection".

What good is 90K if you have to blow 89.99K on security? (yeah, 10 bucks...)

Thanks.
Absolutely not. The torsional properties of paper-plate paper differ vastly from aircraft-grade aluminum.

While it is true you can make planes out of both materials, there are fundamental inequities which cannot be overlooked.

And just look at it. That anodized aluminum will conduct heat away from your sweaty-grip long after your opponents have flung their scratch-and-dent wheels aside in a slippery fit. The zen-minimalist design offers significant weight-reduction for unhindered play. You want an edge in Wii racing games? This is the answer. Be the racing God that you were destined to be and don't let your equipment get in your way.

In for 4 more.
I believe their target audience is parents that can't say no to their spoiled children.

In for 4.
@Big: "As for the Hydrogen power, I don't see the neccessity of developing high HP cars. "

Ah, but Ford doesn't produce just cars. A High HP hydrogen-engine could very-well sell a lot of pickup trucks in the U.S.
No, that's the reflection of the camera lens in that photo.

This photo actually shows the side with the usb port (it does have a protective cover over it though).

"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
