Damn those people for protecting their works, everything should be free, because we know that only the kindness of peoples hearts makes the world go around, not the spending of billions of dollars in the research and development of new products and services, the employment of millions of peoples around the world, and so on. Thats right, giving it out breeds competition, which breeds innovation which of course innovators will recoup via the goodness of the hearts of consumers who want everything FOR FREE! That will put food on my table, and allow my family to go to school so they too can expect everything to be given to them for free! I don't think I should pay for the degrees received in my family because all knowledge should be free.

YIPPIE! WE ARE living in the times of the Starfleet Academy! W00T!

Sweet baby jeebus, they got it right. I can't believe it.
Now I really have to sell my Q1 quickly otherwise a paperweight it'll be.
We can't even get complete nVidia or Creative Xfi drivers for Vista, how can we possibly drive 6 monitors across USB with any type of performance. I can see my bogged down desktop now. Even with dual core 3.2ghz processors, driving 6 monitors would be a dog with anything more than an icon or two on the primary monitor.

I wouldn't mind what comes in the future though. All these announcements are nothing without them hitting the market at a reasonable price. blah blah blah KITCHEN!
Thank you Samsung for killing the resale value of my UMPC, even though the new design gives users even more reason to hate holding a UMPC due to the accidental pushing of buttons without setting the screen-lock. Now we get the option to randomly send an email as we walk around.

Eh, nice design all the same. They aren't giving upgrades to Vista for the previous Q1 series even though I bought mine late November with the incorrect knowledge that they'd provide an upgrade. Doh, what an idiot.

Oh the fun I could have with this thing. It should be installed in house alarm systems, I would definitely want it on mine. It's hard to find that big screen TV when you are busy trying to fix your dislocated knee after falling down a flight of steps.
What happens when you fill it up? Do you have to send it back to the manufacturer? I did not RTFA. Love the idea though, attach this to the smoke machine car alarm which I also want, just to really piss off the in-laws when they visit.

Estonians have voted "Bowzer" from Sha-Na-Na fame into office in a landslide on the heels of an overwhelming number of last minute votes... in other news, there was a denial of service attack on local political voting machines which have been traced to what is known as "Bid Snipers" commonly found on the premiere auction site, EBay.com

*smacks head*

Battery Life, Battery Life, Battery Life, that is all that is missing from the UMPC... and that won't be fixed until they get fuel cells down to the size of the current UMPC battery. I still want to know how much of the $1300 I spent on my UMPC was for the price fixing for RAM, or the price fixing for LCD's, or the price fixing for the OS (oh wait, a near monopoly and monopolistic practices aren't price fixing, its profit maximization, i keep forgetting), or all the above. Holy Crap, how much did I pay for this?

It's for sale. :)

Glad they are moving on this. About 18 years ago, I wrote a paper and was told it wasn't possible to use fMRI technology to read thoughts, as well as using VR to help people overcome phobias and pain without the use of a psychologist and the VR process was realtime based on how the mind is impacted by the events taking place. All three of these are now being used. Very glad someone did something with it.

So, I'll reserve judgement on all things that were once perceived as impossible since I know full well that if a person can think it, it can come true... eventually.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a wireless trackpad to use with my older (2.5 or so years old) C2D MacBook that's perpetually docked to my home theater. Something sleek, thin, not too small, made of high quality materials. Ideally, it would natively support all of (Snow) Leopard's multitouch inputs, and even more ideally, it would have a charging dock / base. The only problem is that I'm not sure that such a thing even exists. Think you can throw me a bone?"
