Zune Guy fed up with Zune, seeks to cover up tattoos {Engadget}

Some news from the editor's desk {Engadget}

Jul 22nd 2008 2:02PM I've been an Engadget junkie for many years now. Huge thanks go out to Ryan -- and Peter -- for all they've done in this space. I look forward to following your new adventure as well.

Good luck Ryan Block!

Mod your dock to work with iPhone 3G {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Jul 21st 2008 6:19PM While I commend the DIY spirit, after investing in early-adopter-priced hardware and then dropping another three Benjamins to "upgrade," I'm not about to cheap out now and scratch up my beloved's glossy backside on an old scraped out hand-me-down dock!

Re-thinking the iPhone's home screen {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Jul 21st 2008 4:39PM I had a utility on my jailbroken 1st gen iPhone that simulated folders on the home screen. I had a folder for games, one for utilities, etc.

Worked like a charm (mostly).

Vintage cassette tape holds Apple I BASIC, killer modem tune {Engadget}

Jul 19th 2008 3:36PM Whoa. You guys weren't kidding! That read link spewed some serious nerdgasm on my browser.

A quick rant about Notes {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Jul 17th 2008 6:28PM Yes. Mail app... for Macs. But what about Windows? It's great that Windows users are using iTunes, but I think getting them to download a random Notes application in order to get full use out of their iPhone is a bit much to ask.

I agree with Joey that Evernote is the sh*t!

T-Mobile Germany says sipgate makes jailbreaking too attractive {Engadget}

Jul 17th 2008 2:40PM Seems to me that T-Mobile's American cousin has been mostly benefitting from the jailbroken phones. It's a wash. Leave it alone, T-Mo! Get on with your lives and concentrate on providing better service. Too much litigation.

Poll: How's your iPhone 3G reception? {Engadget}

Jul 17th 2008 2:30PM Yep, same here. Big lag in address book and often big lag when typing in any app. Really frustrating. It's often faster to use the Google App and type in a contact name. Yikes!

I haven't tested a lot, but the keyboard lag seems to lessen when I have 3G turned off, which I've started to do to make the battery last.

MobileMe now live, ready for you {Engadget}

Jul 10th 2008 7:43AM Hmmm... me.com just pushed me back to apple.com... ?

Beta Beat: Corkboard is your clipboard's buddy {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Jul 8th 2008 3:58PM Nice app. But is it really using 140mb of ram and over 3gb of virtual memory??!!

That seems really excessive.
