The whole fontrow/quicktime/5.1 issue is such a pain though... I like plex and boxee but frontrow is so simple and easy to use, except for the fact that you have to run through hoops to get it to pass ac3/5.1///
Why is the pixel count too high? Its just right for cropping into shots... And it has quite possibly the best low-light performance of any camera i've used... I personally find the noise quite filmlike, especially when using a good lens and proper exposure or raw post-processing...
Hmm. Wonder if these will fit in a macbook air...
thats a nice piece of plastic...
Finally got it installed! Didn't work with ifuntastic. Started from scratch and installed via installer.app/sssh/Independence, then sFTPd the file to the phone. I couldn't install installer.app for hours until i realized it was my office firewall. Worked fine from home...
Hmmm. I tried again with a fresh iphone update and it still just hangs on "copying files" . Left it for an hour and a half. Has anyone had luck with ifuntastic as a jailbreaker? I cannot load apptapp for some reason so i don't have any other jailbreaking stuff...
I instaled the app and ran it, but it has been stuck on "copying files" for 10 minutes now. Never makes it to comm center. Anyone had this problem? I unshckled the ipd with ifuntastic...
Someone is SELLING this already! I got an email from iphoneworldwideunlock.com that is giving this app to people who paid $50 for iphone sim free... thats's insane.
It seems the availability was a goof. All orders seem to have been postponed till the end of september.
FYI, i got it to work instantly on prepaid by registering with my tax ID # instead of my SS#...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am trying to configure out a really dumbed down and intuitive PC for my grandmother. She recently had a stroke and while she is under my care I would like to repurpose a laptop for her to surf and email her children. Anyone have any experience with what input devices and UI's are really understandable for the over 80 crowd?"
