Nationalize the Federal Reserve. I never fully understood why our entire financial system lies in the hands of a private corporation. Makes absolutely zero sense. That is all. This jobless bum is in dire need of a new keyboard and headset (my Razer Barracuda AC-1 just literally fell apart. :( ).
Heh, well, this beats the Motorola Krzr (Krazr?), my younger brother got one and it snapped in half in his jeans pocket just because he's a big guy (6'4", 300lbs) and when he went to sit in the car it just bent against the side of his leg and *crack*. I think he needs bigger pants, but even so... phones shouldn't snap that easily.

I remember working for a cell phone support call center many moons ago when the StarTac first came out. We torture tested some of the "test" phones that Motorola sent us, including hucking it down the hallway and dropping it from the top of the 3 story building we were in. All that ever happened was the battery would pop off. Put it back on, thing worked fine. They just don't build them like that anymore... until now?
The only instances I can picture this being useful are industrial or aerospace. Places where there's no room to set a regular keyboard, not even a small one. Especially in space, where lack of gravity might make this useful. Neat concept though. Way to think behind the box. :)
Nifty. Make it a decent price and offer other colors (i.e. dark blue, black, silver, or shiny) and I might be sold.

I thought when they were talking about stealing they meant carrying the thing into a company like a lunch box and downloading 2TB worth of corporate secrets.
Hahahahaahaha, nice, thanks for the visual.
Sounds like a sweet card... but there is one little thing that kinda nags at me. I hate marketing gimmicks aimed at twisting things around to make products look better than they really are, and this one gets me: The back of the box states, "Up to a 90% performance increase over the GeForce 8600 GTS GPU". Erm... why are they comparing it to the 8600? Wouldn't it be more realistic to compare it to the 8800 GTS? I was under the impression that the 9600 was the replacement for the 8600... Why not just say, "Up to 40,000% faster than a GeForce2 MX!!" Woo!

Oh well, not like everyone doesn't do it... still doesn't make it right. :)

Kinda silly to be showing off a box and card without some in-use demo, pricing, and performance stats. Ooooo, shiny box! :-P
The freaky part is when you start in on the phone sex... would that then be... cyberphonerobot sex?
Huh... the rubber protector costs an extra $10 for one protector.

Or for roughly the same price as the adatper ($24.99), you can get this one and it comes with two rubber drive protectors (one for each size, 3.5/2.5 drives)

No shinies though.
Gimme the Real Sex episodes without having to subscribe on the cablebox, and let me watch The Sopranos from day one, and I'm in. :)

Oh and yeah, I'm sure the lack of OS X client is because of Apple's greed... 'cause every piece of software comes out with both a PC and Apple version at the same time... errrrr... right? :P What a stupid assumption. Let me know when the service is available for a year or so nationwide and there still isn't an OS X client, then maybe there'll be some merit to an Apple-greed conspiracy.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
